Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition cheats

I can't seem to get cheats working for Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition on windows vista. Can somebody Help me?

    i put Debug Mode', '1' under program options and nothing works

    @iankirts, could you upload your INI file?

    Also, is your system set up with multiple languages?

    It should look like
    'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1'

    No it's not set up in multiple languages, plus i can't upload my INI file

    @iankis place your ini file inside a zip file.

    Remember to put an additional comma at the end of the line. The full line should read:

    'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',

    And those spaces should be tabs.

    I don't know if u've tried these already... but...

    1) Make a copy of the ini file, edit it outside the game directory (anywhere, desktop will do), copy it back into the game directory and replace the original.

    2) For some reason, I think due to languages, my Ctrl+Space doesn't work sometimes, when it doesn't, I use Ctrl+M, which brings up the Clua Console, and after that, Ctrl+Space works fine.
