2. Download Baldur's Gate II Fixpack (http://www.gibberlings3.net/bg2fixpack/) and extract it to your Baldur's Gate II directory. I strongly advice you this patch, not Baldur's Gate II Official Patches that are mentioned in your link.
3. Run the newly extracted setup-bg2fixpack.exe (if not automatically started).
4. It is safe to select yes for all the optional fixes, but if you want to learn about each in detail, consult the readme file that comes with the BG2 Fixpack.
The moddb patch and the sorcerer's place patch look like they are the same patch.
The baldurdash fixpack is much older (I don't think its been updated in over a decade) compared to the g3 patch.
Also don't worry about not having WeiDU. In the case of the windows version the installer that is used is just an exe file so you can pretty much just double click it and then follow the instructions on the screen. Its a pretty old school interface but it works.
What fixes does the g3 fixpack have that the baldurdash fixpack doesn't have?
The real issue with Baldurdash is that the version you get from the Baldurdash website isn't even WeiDUed. That means it overwrites game files instead of modifying them in a reversible way. It's ancient.

And what is the difference between the gibberlings3 fixpack and the baldurdash fixpack? What if I don't have "WeiDU"?
