Option for toggleable cutting off of NPC voices.

As someone who played Baldur's Gate 1 and 2 back when they came out, the NPC and PC voices (such as battle shouts) cutting off mid sentence because another sound starts playing is really bothering me and ruining my immersion.

The way I understand it, this was added as a "feature" to stop different party members from talking simultaneously (see this post: https://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/comment/385281/#Comment_385281) but what happened is that speech gets cut off by pretty much anything: enemy taunts, enemy grunts when they get hit, even the squeak of a squirrel passing by. I don't think I've ever even heard one of my party members fully complete one of their battle shouts.

What I propose is the following: put an option in the game so that we can choose whether or not to use this sytem.

I agree. Either an option in the game as Kangaxx has proposed. Or have it as a hidden option you can disable in Baldur.ini. Or just revert this so called "feature" (not a fan).

Indeed, a hidden option would be fine as well. Just give us the choice.

Agreed, this is one of those features that was probably intended to be helpful but wound up doing more harm than good. An option to disable it would be welcome.

I hope they indeed consider fixing this. It can't be that hard to fix, considering they added it in the first place. Thanks for the comments!

UPDATE: This issue was apparently confirmed to be fixed in the next patch ! (see http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/comment/498385/#Comment_498385)
