[not an issue] Losing hitpoints on import

I suspect this must already be reported, but I can't find it.

Gave Black Pits 2 another go, since my first party failed with the crash-dualing-druid-to-fighter bug, and the cleric/thief's inability to access their lock picking ability (my only thief).

So this weekend I created another party in BG1, and took them all the way through the black pits. A key character was going to be my first Kensai/Mage dual, who hit level 9 Kensai just before our fight with Irenicus, so I dualed and kept her safe in the final fight, so I would gain the benefit of the xp bump on import. (Foolishly, I let this overwrite my earlier saved game).

On import, my KenSage with 18 con has only 40 hp - less than if she had rolled 1 for every hit die. This makes the character largely unplayable for me - my straight sorcerer imported for the same party with 2 less con has 50% more hit points (60) and did not give up the ability to wear mage robes, or a specialized per level, to get them.

I tried importing this character as a regular BG2 game, to see if I could get a fix and import that way - but the same import bug affects the main game.

I'm not sure how these hit points are calculated, but it looks like they are not even accounting for Con in whatever algorithm is used, never mind picking the wrong hit dice.

In case it is relevant, I am running the unpatched version of the game from the Map App store.

@GreenWarlock‌ can you do me a favour please. Create a kensai with 18 con in ToB. Should have about 153hp. Then dual to mage level 1, still with 153hp.

Then export. New ToB game import character.

I get 153hp for this in the PC version so if you get different it's probably to do with Novembers patch - but I couldn't see any reference either.
    Thanks

Edit. Look like it was patched in BG:EE version 1.2 and I believe this will have been rolled into BGII:EE 1.2.

Confirmed - creating a Kensai in ToB, dualing to mage, exporting a character file and using that to make a new ToB character imports with only 40 hp. So this seems to be limited to just the Mac App Store version now.

Sounds like it. I believe the position is that the 1.3 patch for BGII:EE will be across all platforms so should work then.

You can use EE Keeper to edit the character back in the meantime, or if you zip and attach a save I'll do it for you unless someone else responds first. You'd just need to say how many hit points you expected.

I have Mac version 1.2.2030 and this also happens to me, haven't tested in the beta since I don't have the BG2:EE one.

Thanks for the offer Gate70, but I've taken a different route. I have a dragon disciple imported into BG2, and importing him again into Black Pits 2 ends up with 99 hit points at level 11, which is close enough to my Kensai HP that I will be content. DD means I am losing 1 spell per level, just like not taking a specialist mage, so I'll deem this good enough. Hit points are high due to benefiting from an import bug that works in my favor this time - his Con is also getting ridiculous, but will probably not start regenerating. Con was my original dump stat, although he picked up all 8 tomes in BG1 on top of a 90+ roll, so stats are crazy in general.
