    Does anyone know how to activate the cheat consul on this one or is it the same as the vanilla version?

    It's the same as the BGEE games.

    Add this to the .ini file, which is located in the C:\User\My Documents\Icewind Dale - Enhanced Edition folder.

    'Program Options', 'Debug Mode', '1',

    Once you do that, hit Ctrl+Space which will bring up the Console.

    -edit-
    Though I should state, they changed how it's prefaced to make it simpler.
    CLUAConsole:, was the old way but now you just begin with C:

    EXAMPLE:
    C:AddGold("1000")

    Thanks helped alot :D

    So, I just got this game gifted to me on beamdog, but when I go to download it, it takes me to a 404:page not found. I redeemed it fine and it shows up in my games, but the link is dead. Any ideas on how to work around/fix this? Thanks

    @geno Depending on whether you want the Windows or the Mac version, get the relevant installer from here: http://www.beamdog.com/icewind-dale-enhanced-edition/installers

    Intelligence determines chance to learn and Max number in the spell book.

    Thx bud, and that's kinda sad. Since they must have 15 minimum Cha.

    The Grandmastery is like in BG or they modified it? Can i get grandmastery with a multiclass fighter or only with a dual class fighter? :D

    Planning the party :D

    note to self:
    priest of tyr can be interestingly dualled into a mage early on (lvl 3 or maybe 4 for +1 duhm att points) instead of dualling from a fighter. you don't need that many spells in iwd anyway since there are no protracted magic fights so a specialist doesn't mean much.

    holy power is good. thaco bonus increases with mage levels too. chaos of battle is useful too.

    Grand Mastery is like in bgee but it gives 5/2 APR instead of 2 APR, and it's not availble to multiclass fighters.

    Ok ty, was thinking to do a party like the one i used for BG2EE but i'm not sure, since i planned that party considering the weapons in the game :D

    Cavalier ------------> Carsomyr
    Beserker 7/Cleric X --> Crom Faeyr + Runichammer
    Fighter 7/Druid X ---> Ixil's Spike
    Fighter 7/Thief X ----> Angurvadal + Short Sword of the Mask
    Archer ------------> Firetooth
    Dragon Disciple

    This time was thinking abour reaching 9 level with fighters and then duaclass.

    Last question: would make sense to start a game, reach level 9 then export/import the character and start a new game in HoF mode? Too low level?

    Wasn't Heart of Winter reachable from the normal game via some dialogue in the non EE? Why is it a selection in the main menu now? Or was that trial of the lure master and I confused them?

    Seems a bit melee-heavy and not a lot of arcane magic, but there's not really as much mage-fights as in BG anyway. Interesting setup. However, if you're dualling at 9, and then exporting for HoF, won't that leave you severely *lacking* that same melee power?

    It was. I haven't played yet, but for that selection they probably just bypassed that dialogue (or door?), which transports you away to a new area anyway.

    You were always able to make that choice before when starting a new game.

    You are right, maybe i can still dual class at 7 e reach 8th with other class since it's the "same xp" that the fighter has then start HoF. Btw this time was thinking about to use some shield instead dual wield :P

    Yes HOF level 15 is suggested, the enemies have their stats jacked up, anything less that level 12 would not be advised, think nightmare mode in dragon age, you will do less damage while they attacks can kill you in 1 or 2 blows

    Might still be interesting to dual-wield, since that wasn't possible in vanilla IWD. ;)

    Hi, I have a question - is there a way you can add another character to your party after starting the game? I know you can get rid of them but neither in the game nor via EE Keeper did I see the possibility to create additional hero if needed.

    Can you Dual class a fighter into a paladin or blackguard?

    Paladins cannot dual class; either in to or out of.

    So yeah I got stuck with battle at 5th lvl of Dragons Eye. Its not particularly tough but not easy either. I just want to know what is the main thing that changes the tide of battle?

    Do I use my spellcasters and magic missile the yuan ti god? Thats what I figured would work.

    Or should i take care of the spellcasters and melee. That doesnt seem like an idea. Its a tough battle but not as tough as I have faced before. Summons might be useful.

    Someone know about the new items added? :D

    Hey folks, just picked this up from Steam last night. I've put an hour or so into the game already, but I'm thinking about rebuilding my party to feature a monk and/or a druid.

    My question is: How is the game's itemization as far as the monk is concerned? What I'd like is to play a single-class Sun-Soul monk who only fights with fists, but I'm worried that she'll end up severely gimped by the end of the game unless I break down and wield melee weapons, which defeats the purpose of playing a martial-artist (IMHO--might as well play a Kensai at that point). I know that IWD:E is new, but does anyone have insight into whether a bare-fist-only monk would be viable over the course of the game, or in the expansion?

    Yes.
    Move the savegame to the multiplayer savegame folder, and load it in a multiplayer game. Eventually you'll be able to remove/add party member.
    Once done you can save and move back the new save to the savegame folder and load it in the single player game.

    @Rogol Can't play yet myself (I want a monk too dammit), but I've seen a few monk-specific items in the files. I believe though that the monk would be gimped only at the start, exactly because he has no options for armor. It's also at the higher levels that they really start to shine with special abilities, and their fist damage increases every few levels too.
