Not an issue or a game breaker. More of an annoyance.

After Black Friday and Cyber Monday. I really want a Healing Tuesday.

Only Beamdog can deliver...

You see, it cost 20gp to heal 8hp and 40gp to heal 11hp.

Now, I'm fully aware the higher price cures any poisons and other things, but in most cases, by the time you get back to town you have already sorted this out, anything of a more calamitous nature requiring restoration...

What I want is offers! Some pizazz in the healing selling sector! As far as I can see the whole healing business is sick and rotten to the core, with scams even the blind, once they are cured, can see...

Link gp capita spending to hp healed in service

I suggest a 2gp or 3gp per hp healed. To the average punter, this would mean you average cure minor wounds would cost 16gp or 24gp for 8hp of healing. Your cure moderate wounds would roll in at 22gp or 33gp for 11hp healed. As you can see, the cure moderate wounds option looks more tempting to the average adventurer...

Get your 3e game mechanics out of a thread about a 2e game. At least, I'm pretty sure that heals will heal anyone, even an undead, at least in an IE game.

I have a bit strange question... Do they even have Tuesdays in Faerûn?

The Realms have a ten day week (tenday), each day consisting of 24 hours. The days are named numerically (firstday, secondday, thirdday, etc.) Years are 365 days, with 12 months of 30 days each, and 5 holidays that fall between some months.

However, since our Tuesday is associated with the god Tyr and the Realms also has Tyr, maybe there is a Tuesday in Faerûn.

Last year, at GenCon '95, I asked Ed Greenwood about the days of the week (Ride) in Faerun. I asked if there was a standard day or day name for the days of the ride. He responded that the days of the ride differ from geographic region to region, and usually have a religious connotation. There is no standard set of day names.

Ed went on to say that the people of Faerun use the number of days to indicate when something will happen as long as the number of days does not exceed 30. For instance, if I was to see you in 10 days, I would say "See you in a ten-day," not "See you in a ride" or "See you next ride," both of which are not as determinalistic as the first statement.

If you want to indicate an event in the future of past and this event happens within 10 days of a major event, a Realmsian would say "Bessie had her calf 3 days after the Lord came into his castle." or "Bessie's calf was born 2 days before last Greengrass."

In other words, Realmsians do not use dates like we do -- my birthday in Faerun is something like "12 days after Greengrass" not "Mirtul 12th." Now IMC, I use "Firstday," "Seconday", "Thirday", etc. for my days of the week, and I use dates like Americans do. Why? Well, to be blunt, my players don't want to try to uderstand the FR method of dating. So it is usually easier just to give in on this minor point. However, if you write fiction, you might want to follow these rules.
