Also, on a sidenote, a sling is a hard weapon to use! It would actually make more sense to let mages and the like be able to use light xbows rather than slings. The xbow is just aim and fire. The sling, on the other hand, takes skill to use.
Also, on another sidenote, I would have loved to have throwable spears/peltasts and one-handed spears. That would have been awesome but as always with things that lack animations, it would be difficult (impossible?) to add.
