Where can I find out more about the feud between the illithid and githyanki?

I just completed the Hidden quest in BG2 and Haer'Dalis mentioned something about the ancient war between the illithid and githyanki. Sounds interesting. Anywhere I can read more on this? Thanks!

    I think the original 1st edition Book of the Planes talked a lot about the various Gith. The 1st edition Fiend Folio mentions it as well.

    Thanks for the links @JuliusBorisov! That was quite insightful. Who comes up with this stuff? It amazes me how much depth and back story there is in the Realms.

    That's probably because of the popularity of the Realms. High Magic, High Fantasy, (in)famous characters, several video games...

    I mean, despite my growing interest of it because of DDO, I know next to nothing about Eberron, and finding stuff about it is rather hard it seems.

    I think it's also brought up in planescape torment with Dak'kon but i could be wrong.

    Iirc there is some, but he mostly discusses Githzerai society and philosophy.

    (I mean, it's obviously very related, but just to be clear)
