Jaheiras HP not randomized on core rules or higher.

in Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition
I know back in the old days you could save your game and keep reloading it and you would get randomized HP based on class and constitution. I'm playing core rules and I keep getting 12 hit points for Jaheiras first level. I have changed the difficulty slider multiple times to see if it changes anything but she keeps getting maximum hit points. Just wondering if this is normal behavior. Thanks!!

    Unselect "Max HP on Level Up" in the game settings.
