A cave entrance? For Unfinished Business mod?

Has someone noticed this before in the south area between Beregost and Nashkel (it's a cave entrance)?
Cut from the original game?
I'm sure there should be a travel trigger and a simple cave area.

What do you think?

P.S.:
I wish that someone could continue the UB mod work.
It would be really great to see such stuff like:
Ajantis and the monks quest
Nim Furlwing and the hunting dogs quest
Llindellyn and the lucky arrow quest
Welt and Pooch and the rats quest

or even the dreamsequence...

Yes, I remember wondering (back in original BG1) whether there was something there. But no, on close inspection I reckon it's just a depression in the rock, a cleft a couple of feet deep, so I don't think it was ever intended to be an actual cave entrance.

If you really want this then step up to the plate and do it :)

Hey, I would love to take up the mantle and try to do this, but I have tried to volunteer multiple times to help and no one ever responds to me. So we would help if they would let us... @CamDawg‌ ? @jastey‌ ? anyone? LOL.

To my mind, the Enhanced Edition should have grabbed the opportunity to add little bits of extra content to otherwise empty areas (like the one in the screenshot), but I guess such a thing is to fall on modders' hands.

I have been working a module to give the Candlekeep party (found in Obe's house in the prologue and Arkanis and Deder in the Candlekeep Catacombs) a playable role in the main story as Non-Player Characters to join Gorions's Ward upon their quests, trials and tribulations along the Sword Coast.

Here is a rough alpha of the cave that is used fro the Osprey and Canderous part of the quest.

Also I have been working on a few 'extra content modules' for the Original Baldur's Gate aiming to be seamless to a Bioware 1998 standard of quality: https://withinamnesia.deviantart.com/gallery/51118284/Baldur-s-Gate-Path-of-the-Lost-Odyssey

Just for information (and mod compatibility):
That particular cave entrance in the area north of Nashkel is part of a mod since a decade already, The Stone of Askavar http://www.baldursgatemods.com/forums/index.php?board=57.0.
The mod is compatible with BGEE (with or without SoD) and EET.
It is one of the classic quest mods by author Red Carnelian.
I had this in the classic games and BGT already many years ago and it's still worth playing.
There are enough other candidate *holes* in the game for another mod to occupy,

Take a look at this topic
