Why is my Mage stuck inside of Bridgefort?

My mage is stuck on the inside of the outside doorway. He is clearly visible but can't rejoin my party and this is causing me not to be able to go into caves and such. He moves inside of Bridgefort with the party but when I try to move on every other character goes except him. Is this a glitch in the game, and how do I get it fixed so that I can continue the game?

    You can try Ctrl-J to jump it to another point or use the MoveToArea menu to teleport your party to another place.

    Other than that I have no idea on how to help you, sorry.

    Have you tried entering and then standing still for a while making sure he can reach you?
    Possible he could be trying to initiate a dialog and has got caught in a loop.
