    Thanks for the feedback (this is exactly what the beta is for). The dialogue will be a bit tuned for the final release.

    Beware this Kivan's new lines bug: https://support.baldursgate.com/issues/37064

    @JuliusBorisov Is the map note related to OLD Kagain quest? Because NOW the right spot is the light blue note I put.

    That is unrelated. I believe it has been there since the release of BGEE.

    That spot is where Kagain gave up in the previous versions. Now you have to reach the light blue one.

    If you enter the area from the south then yes, it may appear that that is the case. But if you try entering the area from any other direction, Kagain will end his quest like normal.

    But in any case, adding a new map icon could make sense. If you want to add a ticket for it, please do.

    I’m not sure which marker you are referring to @rede9 but if you are saying that the dull blue marker at the bottom of the screen is where Kagain has always made his remarks before, yes it is.

    If it is now taking place at the vivid blue marker above, then that is different than it was before.

    @Balquo

    what's the significance of the lower marker (the older one)? what does it mark? i think it should never have been put there in the first place, even before the kagain quest revision, as that specific spot is certainly not the "raided caravan", while the other place (with the light blue marker) certainly looks like and most definitely is the remains of a raided caravan

    There are two raided caravans on that map, the lower marker marks one of them.
  • bob_vengbob_veng Member Posts: 2,308
    the lower one is hardly a caravan in itself. it's a straggled part of the raided caravan which is a bit up & east. that's how i've always seen it

    All I know is walkthroughs, like the one found at Dudleyville, show the caravan in the lower location. In game there is an overturned wagon at that location that can be clicked on to get some text talking about bandits attacking and killing the travelers. The family’s bodies surround it.

    Though I can see it being confusing as a group of bandits is at the other location.

    I think the road messenger mentions that multiple caravans were raided by bandits, so I always thought they were separate and there was no way to tell which one was with Entars kid.

    The group of bandits is not original content; the bandits are added by BG1NPC for the extended version of Kagain's quest.

    I don't play the beta, but from that screen it looks like that rectangle that covers upper part of the map is stilll there. I found it really annoying when I last played. Is it possible to move it to the side?

    The group of bandits that I was thinking of is Deke’s gang, from the original game.

    Should I submit it twice (BGEE and SoD)? Or just BGEE? It appears to be fine in BGIIEE (at least the few maps I checked).

    people keep telling me it is from UB, but I know I'm not crazy...
  • RavenslightRavenslight Member Posts: 1,609
    I do play with the BGI NPC mod. I don’t use the UB mod. It can get confusing when trying to remember what was original and what just seems so when one constantly plays with certain mods installed.

    This is why I tried to check with the older walkthrough sources. Deke’s group is also noted with the map walkthrough found on the GameBanshee site.

    I have never seen these bandits in 16 years of playing. I clear all of the fog from every map.

    Yeah, it's one of the super rare instances outside of Baldur's Gate (the city) where new content actually pops up after you complete certain chapters. Nimbul appears in Nashkel after you clear out Nashkel mines, Elminster appears in Friendly Amn Inn in chapter 4 etc.

    the patch 2.5 include the subtitles in Opening cinematic? (BG:EE SoD)
  • JuliusBorisovJuliusBorisov Member, Administrator, Moderator, Developer Posts: 22,723
    @rafsiq

    Yes, there are subtitles in the cinematics. But SoD is not a part of the public beta.
