Posting my opinion separately as it opinion only.

In general, I think this buff has very high potential. If you think about possible combinations with high AC/Thac0 modifiers they almost always net a very beneficial result.

Think of all the amazing combinations
    • 5 AC bonus for party member and 5 Thac0 penalty for enemy is lowering their hit chance by 50% (exception for corner cases)
    • 5 LUCK or 5 Thac0 bonus for party member and 5 AC penalty for enemy means party member hit chance is increased by 50%
    • 5 LUCK penalty for enemy means all spells with dice lower than d7 (d2, d3, d4, d5, d6) automatically roll maximum damage (i.e. dragons breath from 2d10 does 180 instead of 110 damages on average. That is 63% more damage.
    • HP penalty is also nice on non-LOB modes
    • LUCK penalty on enemy means they will have lower hit roll which means even if you are capped at -25AC and they have very good thac0 they will have harder time hitting you.
So, the only downside to all this is exchange from some OP cleric combos like FMC/CM/C duals etc. for pure cleric. I diregarded late duals although level 13 dual could be interesting option for -3/+3 CoB.

Do you guys think it's worth it?

Do the bonuses not scale past level 25?

Do the bonuses not scale past level 25?

@Chronicler Nope. All spells in the game (with exception of Dispel/Remove Magic) cap at level 25.

Thought spells normally capped at 20.

Ah apologies, temporary brain malfunction. You are correct, so to fully answer your question I checked game files and max bonus/penalty is +5/-5 so yes level 25 is max.

I originally built the Tempus kit for IWDEE, where spells and abilities cap at 30 instead. I'm not too chuffed about it not capping at 20 for BG2EE--a handful of BG2EE abilities do cap at 30, so one more is not going to bother me.
