@notking Note that this announcement thread is describing the patch that was released last night; so no new fixes have been implemented. Just be patient.
Any one else having a problem with scripts? I've assigned each of my characters with different scripts except for my main. And they don't seem to be working. Only started happening after the 1.0.2009b patch.
@mixnmatch - The "Fighter Defensive" script is buggy - makes standard fighters attempt to hide in shadows, and there may be some issues with the text descriptions of thief script 3 and 4. At least thats what I've observed in my games anyway. Have a little look at this:
Also, I was having this issue before any of the patches were released and I've still to test them again, though if memory serves, they were never mentioned in the fix lists of any of the patches.
At the rate the guys are throwing out patches and fixes, I'd say that even if they're not fixed yet, they will be soon. An amazing feat to have created so many fixes in such a short space of time. I'm not sure about you guys, but its been a while since I've seen that level of dedication to a game.
The passive mage script is casting offensive spells as well.
@mlnevese - It doesn't really surprise me to be honest. I must confess though that I cant replicate that one myself. My brave mage just throws or stabs till he gibs all over the place.
Ah variables. What would life be without them, eh?
what about bugs that dont crash the game? How do we tell em about those? Edit. By the ways thankyou very much for all the work in fixing all our problems The bug where changing the sound of my character after the last patch has been fixed.
Where can I access this patch? Is it the third one available because if so I have already downloaded it and cut my IQ in half by posting such a stupid question?
Thumbs up for the patch development! Still no word about way to less enemys spawning compared to original I rly rly would like to hear some developer feedback regarding this before i go to peldvale or cloakwood areas as the gnoll fortress had some whooping 10 gnolls in it ^^

There was a note that they discovered the spawning problem and are workin on it.
Could someone test the gibberling battle l in Candlekeep? After patch no new character of mine can attack in that battle, tried in two computers with the same result.
Will the next patch be soon? I am just finishing download of the last patch, nothing fixed for crashes. Its been about 6 days and so far all of the patches just fixed problems with the game's minor things. I think that the crashes at startup is a major problem and if anyone knows what I should do, Id be glad. The customer service is not the greatest but I still have hope to get this game going.
I have an asus windows 7 32 bit pc. The pc has no problem with anything, the downloader/installer worked fine. It just crashes at startup. Should I run in a particular compatability mode to fix it?
@DKnight try running baldurs.exe in win95, disable visual themes, diable desktop comp. thingy and disable the DPI thingy ma jig, also run as admin - I did that and the gameplay wasn't perfect but if there's a chance it could stop the crashing it's worth a try
@DKnight - I haven't tried this myself but there have been a lot of posted about changing the ini file you could look into that, it worked for some people - sorry for not being more help

Patience is our friend now.
