Lol I see everyone loves heroes of might and magic but does anyone here even remember might and magic which heroes was based on. It was awesome. Especially 4 and 5 also known as world of xeen
The funny thing about Freespace is that fans have already done a great job of keeping it around and improving its original graphics. So I'd rather see a new game in the series or some kind of offshoot.
I loved the two Crusader games. I loved that they took the engine from Ultima VIII and created games that were a better fit.
I would not condone any "enhancement" that didn't keep the isometric view and playstyle.
Thankfully, the two games are available from GOG (and cheap enough that I went ahead and bought them, again, their boxed versions long since lost from my shelves).
All the original Gold Box D&D Games The original Bard's Tale Triogy <- These I would want the most The original Ultima Series (1 to 7) Wasteland Legacy of the Ancients & Legend of Blacksilver Eye of the Beholder 1 & 2 Loom
Probably many others but I cannot think of them at the moment.
Wizardry 8- obsolete masterpiece, I was a sad panda when my copy burned out on me
Temple of Elemental Evil- I miss the turn based combat. Had so many flaws but is worth a remastery or updated engine
Arcanum- one of the best written games in terms of actual roleplaying and your stats/gender/race really do affect the game in general, I was really sad that there's never been another in this series with the lore behind it (and such few steampunk rpgs, possibly the only one that isn't a jrpg)
Daggerfall- I'll admit I like the console Elder Scrolls far better, but Daggerfall had a hugr amount of content, including knight orders and so much more, I'd love to see a Daggerfall remake with Skyrim's engine
Divine Divinity/Beyond Divinity- just because
Fallout 1 & 2- the later games were better but the old ones had interesting storylines worth a revisit
Final Fantasy 1- not the crappy ds remake with those awful characters, but createable party members like the original
Jade Empire- this was a big one, huge amount of lore, multiple ways to solve even minor quests, I'd love a remake and a sequel even if this game's not that old (mostly.for better gameplay itself)
Comments
Baldur's Gate 2
Icewind Dale 1&2
Heroes of might and magic 4 or 5 - can't remember which one was best lol
Jagged Alliance 2
