wild surge sex change

I've had this happen to me a few times, however my character still lists as female.

Is this a bug or what is the intended affect on gameplay?

It wears off after a rest, I believe (or a few rests).

my character was created a female so I meant that no sex change took place despite the surge effect :P

The same thing happened with Neera - it was written, but in fact she didn't change her sex.

noo.. nothing changed. Same portrait, still says female wild mage on character screen :S
