It used to be in the classic version, that if you had completed BG1, you could load up the game for ToSC. I don't think that is the case with BG:EE. As has been stated, you are supposed to play through it as additional content to the original game, and before the final battle.
You could always reload a previous game file? That might work. But ask yourself, what exp level did you end on? Because the game caps at 161000. If you already have more than that and have beaten Saravok, the only think you are gaining is the experience of the content itself (which would be enough for me).
What I hear one person did, is kite Sarevok out of the Temple of Bhaal and fight him there. Then, when they re-entered the Temple, the death cutscene played as normal and the game ended.
I remember trying to do that once and all I got was his entire party, with room to move around me, following after him. I wasn't using an AI enhancing mod at the time.

I've heard it mentioned a few times on these forums that this only worked if you installed TOSC after having beat the game, to allow you play the new content from where you left off. If you played the game with the expansion installed from the get-go, you could not continue from the final save (at least that's how it was with my BG Original Sage, 4-CD install).
Thanks for your responses! I just went back to a previous save and then found my way to Ulgoth's Beard. It was greyed out and I didn't realize that you had to get through zombie farm to get there. Last time I tried TOSC was on the original and I already had completed a game!

Mmph. :x! Then all I can suggest in that case is to go ape in offing them. I forgot to factor all of those other guys in...
