We are not going to re-do the snake charmer/carpet shake and the other movies as we felt they were not critical story telling elements

I offered a hammer. Scott didn't seem to think it was a good idea. I know hammers can fix everything, he'll come around in a bit ;-)

We found one of the problems last night. We were having firewall related stalling and resetting of connections. Fix is underway.

Trent Oster (in response to whether mac version will release on the 28th)

"We're hearing rumors of a 13 day approval process for the Mac version....hopefully before that (the 28th). We had a build in for more than 13 without approval though."

    - At launch, multiplayer is Beta. It still requires direct connection via IP address. We plan to update aggressively

    - The Linux version is still in Legal drafts. It is getting closer though

    Trent Oster on Twitter:
@TrentOster: We have an approved iPad build, but we found a crash bug.  We're testing a new build to see if the bug is resolved.  We'll submit when fixed”

    That's not very encouraging...
I don't think we shall expect the iPad version on release day... :-(

    Edit!!
I've just been informed that it may not be such a disaster.
According to a fellow Touch Arcade member, if an app previously have been approved, chances are that a re-submit will be approved rather quickly, as they tend not to go through all the code again.

So there's still hope for a release on Nov. 28 for the iPad edition. :)

I love the look of a fully-loaded server network. We're serving tons of bits to all the people who have pre-ordered the game. #bgee preload

The cloud save feature is going to be post-release. you can manually transfer save games across platforms if you wish in the meantime.

That's a relief, because I'll be starting in the Windows version (via Bootcamp on a Mac), but will buy the Mac OS X native version as soon as it's out and continue play on that

We are only shipping BG:EE on the iPad it does function on an iPhone, but the buttons are simply too small to press. Later we can re-UI

The magic pre-sales number is above all our targets. If we can survive the demand it will be awesome.

So that means it's waiting to be approved by Apple store?

In a horrible move, we put a suit of elven chain in the game. One of the enemies owns it and doesn't drop it when killed. We will remedy.
I also threw this into the magical items thread. I asked about it because we were all wondering where the Elven chain was.

Very bad news. Mac OSX #BGEE has been rejected from the Apple Mac App store. We'll dig in and see what the problem is.

I hope for the Mac folk out there wanting to play BG:EE on their favored systems that this gets resolved ASAP.

Epicness. One thing I'd actually love them to add are simple wilderness areas ala BG1. It was one thing i really missed. I assume these are new quest areas, though.
