@KidCarnival haha Thank you for the rescue ... ohh my god my thumbs hurts on all the copy paste @Delvarian totally agree...... we got drama, comedi, action... everyting you need you find it here
First of all sorry if you got offended 2nd of all by posting words like Screw you sir and made me chuckle and so on just shows you are at the moment see everything in red anger, behave extremly immature and very unprofessional at the moment... Like I said I'm sorry if I hurt your feeling and let us go back to the same game we love BG.. anyway you asked some information I can give you some but the rest of information read Empires of the Sands books.
Post Planescape Genasi was called Half-elementals when planescape campaign came out half-elementals name changed to somewhat to genasi (this is especially true in newer editions of DnD).
In the year -6200 Skyfire war began... Memnon and Calim bring their forces of genies to the realms.. the war took place in calimshan and tethyr. many of those genies took mortal lovers, wifes, husbands and concubine.. there offsprings were the half-elementals (in 4t edition Genasis.. in 3rd editions the a half-elemntals and a human offspring are a genasi). in -6060 the last djinns are ousted by humans and dwarves. the rest was trapped in genie prisons and the half-elementals were persecuted killed or trapped in prisons. some of them fled the others (4t edition) used spells to look like humans.
Sadly, I don't see everything in "red anger" if I did, I'm sure life would be much more entertaining and campy and I'm sorry that I sounded unprofessional. I should've known better what with being a professional forum poster. My bad.
The history part of the FR wiki: "Though mortal aasimar were the result of breeding between humans and celestials, devas were unheard of in the local multiverse prior to the arrival of the Mulani from a forgotten plane. Drawn to Imaskar by powerful wizards, the Mulani slaves called upon their gods for aid. Just as the gods could initially appear only as avatars so did their celestial servitors initially require mortal bodies, resulting in the first devas.[6] Since then, devas, also commonly called aasimar in Mulhorand, (a term then adopted for the mortal progeny of celestials and mortals by others), were created through other means, but all of the race shared certain qualities with these first individuals."
That says nothing about Aasimar being the predominant race of Mulhorand at any time let alone in 2e and 3e.
The FR history part of the other wiki (which is much of the exact same info, even the same wording): "In the Forgotten Realms campaign setting aasimar were most commonly found in the eastern lands of Unther and Mulhorand, where they were the descendants of the good deities who once walked among the mortals. Since the Spellplague however and the devastation of both lands Aasimar have become wandering nomads bound to no land or god and spread widely over the face of Faerûn, as well as other parts of Toril. Those from outside of Faerûn are often drawn to it, perhaps by the ancestral lure of Unther and Mulhorand, and so many aasimar can be found in borderlands such as Durpar, Murghôm, Thesk, or Waterdeep, though none of these places are considered traditional homelands."
That says nothing about Aasimar being the predominant race of Mulhorand at any time let alone in 2e and 3e. The race being "most commonly found" in an area doesn't mean they make up the majority of the population.
@GoodSteve somehow our talk came out wrong and it went down somehow really bad... what i tried to say from beginning that adding Aasimar, Genasi and at worst adding Tiefling (wouldn't like it but i would accept it) and I wouldn't mind at all to add Henkyokai as a new direction of adding new content to the game as playable race or follower... persionally I do enjoy greatly diversity of diffrent race and culture In abeir-toril.
some RP example : Aasimar model: If I want RP model my hero charname to be like Greece heroes like hercules, perseus or Akilles (those heroes have divine blood) I would choose my charname to be an Aasimar From city-states of Chessenta. If I want my charname to be as Odysseus then I would chose a human from Chessenta.
Tiefling Model: to be honest tielings can be from everywere... but a good Rp story i would build up around my Charname Tiefling would look like this.. I would add some Eastern europe flavour to it.. by that i mean demons and vampires (more precisely Dracula). and my Undead hunter Thiefling charname would come from Utter east countries or Murghôm.
Genasi model: If I wanted my charname to be modeled after near east mythology with genies and fantasy books like one thousend and one night flavour i would base my charname to be mixes of genies and humans (genasi is perfect choise) and based them on heroes as sinbad and ali baba and the forty thieves..and that would make my Rp charname a genasi from Semphar or calimshan and maybe the utter east and it's (rumored) verdic god pantheon.
Henkyokai Model: something tells me this race would be popular girl charname if it ever would be added to a DnD game... to base your charname (or a follower) to be Henkyokai fox or cat girl can be fun... Thesk, semphar, Murghôm or Kara-tur would be orgin of countries to choose from.
as you se I do love diversity and there are players that would love to see more options and if you think when it comes to internationally sells someone from asia would most of the time chose races as genasi or Henkyokai as their charname (this is purely psychological marketing to targeting customers that are not western english countries)... I always been one of those player who get easily tired if there is few followers or there is to few choises to make when you build your charname...as for me planescape and abeir-toril been best and most interesting camping worlds I would Dm or play as player..
I also have no problem with them adding new race options into the game. Some would make more sense than others of course, and while it would be a neat feature I don't feel it is essential or even one of the top additions I'd like to see.
I never claimed that I minded the idea of adding any of those races I was simply commenting on some outlandish claims you were making earlier in the thread.
How so? I mean it is pretty clear that Bhaal made a point of banging pretty much everything that moved. One of the Bhaalspawn is a chinchilla for goodness sakes. After that pretty much any race ever would make sense for Charname.
It's fine with me if the devs surprise me with whatever new NPCs are to follow via DLC. I like challenges, so if the class or kit isn't the most powerful that's fine. Surprise me. I'm sure I'll have fun figuring out how to use whatever it is.
A Neutral Female Bard/Skald who can dual into a Thief upon completion of a Quest or is simply a Multiclass freak. Bard and Thief seems to be such a natural combo...should be part of the ADD game with perhaps a Strength and Con -1 handicap

Or possibly as an extra familiar who turns out to be your half-brother and betrays you. :O
Of course around the time I was level 7 I discovered Bards couldn't dual. Screwed that plan a bit.
