Curious about the BG2:EE GUI

Okay, I'll admit it's sort of an inane question, but I'm curious anyway.

Can any of the devs tell us something about the GUI for BG2:EE at this point?

Will it be the same blue one from BG:EE? Will it be the same, but with a different color scheme? Or is it being totally redesigned?

And to put in a technical question (making this topic a little more useful), will you guys make the non-scaled GUI an official feature?

I'll be here, bored as hell, waiting on some comments.

I bet it will be the same. It's their choice to use the blue GUI. It's one of BG:EE's schticks

I advise you to try this fine recoloured BG:EE skin that Changes the blue GUI to a brown one.

I actually like the new GUI, but thanks for the tip, @bengoshi. That's a great mod, I'll try it whenever I get bored with the blue one. Might take a while, though!

And thank you, @Kaeloree. Now I can go to sleep!

Yeah it'd be nice to get real support for higher resolutions than 1280x720. Now we are stuck with same stretching as before BG:EE.

I'm sure it will be the same design but all the art will be redone -- Trent said something a while ago about how the BG1 UI was Drawven and BG2 was Elvish. Maybe they will will move away from brown like they moved away from grey in BG1 though. I am looking forward to seeing what they do with it.

I have to agree with @Kaeloree that BG2EE has a GUI... also notice that any GUI mods, such as the Grey Stone or Archaic's should work as both games will use the same engine.

But sadly, GUI mods cannot fix the lacking high resolution support.
