I know, I really can't wait for July sevinamhena. Really great things happening around the sevinamhena...

Dunno whats that but it sounds like kamehameha. Not bad, we need something like son goku as lawyer or chuck norris? but we want to win against atari and not destroy them.

Why are people assuming that it's an issue of Beamdog 'beating' Atari? I know it's cool to hate big publishers these days and pretend they're pure evil, but really they're just motivated by profit. If they're selling the BG IP, as most people seem to think they are, then it stands to reason that Beamdog is competing, not with Atari, but with the other companies, if any, that want to buy the rights too. I don't see why Atari would even care, as long as they get their money.

Also, even if a different company got their hands on the BG IP, isn't it possible that Beamdog could work out a deal with them and continue more or less as they were?

True, but most likely with utterly massive delays; contracts take time to hash out, and I can't imagine having to deal with an old contract as well would do anything to simplify matters. Actually, does anyone kw how long it took to finalize the first/current contract? Just curious.

Ouch. Let's hope a third party doesn't get involved, then.
