    I think it will, at least assuming that the Enhanced Editions have sold well enough. Beamdog shared early on that BG3 is one of their goals; and with respect to the other partners it depends on the sales of the EEs. The will is certainly there on Beamdog's part from what Trent Ostewr has consistently said.

    A lot of people like the wilderness non-linear play of BG1.
    Also could most of the high level skills of TOB be dropped.
    As for story: Could you have a romance based quest added to TOB? Aerie searches for family. Jaheira does some druid thing.
