    I give it to everyone.

    Yes I cheat and have everyone use those boots. I have little patience waiting for party members to play catch up.

    I don't use them: partly because the animation looks pretty stupid to me (it's like watching a speeded-up movie) and partly because it tends to lead to people running into trouble and triggering traps.

    Man I use them because of traps. Nothing like triggering a fireball and running for it knowing running is likely frivolous. :D

    I usually have 2 by the end of the game. I always give a pair to my PC. The second pair I give it to Kivan (he's usually in my party).

    Just movement. However, there is a bug in some versions of Boots of Speed that causes it to round half-attacks up to a full attack.
