    but they level drain?

Ps: but i believe they can be moded inside BG:EE, no?
Ps2: if you're upsed with mummies @Anduin, think on the poor banshees, only 2 representatives of them that you ONLY meet in ToB, in the lich cave when you fight him. an entire programed monster used... ONE TIME in the entire saga... that's a truly waste of resources.

@Anduin, @kamuizin - and no Beholders are in BGEE either (save @KidCarnival, our own one). Furthermore - no Dragons, no MindFlayers, no Myconids (except @OneAngryMushroom's Ranger) ... and no Cauliflower-folk.

Would someone think of the sympathetic monster races?!

There's a vampire in Black Pits? The level drain comes from a mephit as far as I know and the thieves aren't really vampires, just kind of undead-something.

In Black Pits, there are a beholder, a myconid and a mindflayer, but only the beholder can be fought. S̀͠͠Ơ ̸́͞S̸̀A̕D͢.͠ ́͡:̢̨'͝͏(͝

If you missed vampires in BG:EE, don't worry. BG2:EE will make sure you end up hating them.

Or, if you play as an undead hunter you will feel nothing about them :)!

Ps: Taking in fact that all paladins kits are awesome, undead hunter could benefit from an upgrade, from my point of view, an undead hunter should turn undead as a priest of the same level. It's more or less about the reason of their existance to kill undeads.

Oh, and don't use minsc as your tank fighting vampires. It really isn't a good idea..

why not? his rage make him immune to level drain, so i see that as a good reason to put him in the front line.

Vampires and Baldurs Gate 2 are the reason why I prefer the 1st game. They are just so friggin annoying and I know that they should be strong but cmon. Thats the only reason why the undead hunter is so friggin powerful in Bg2. Without that he would be almost useless as he would be a regular fighter. I know people will say that vampires need to be fought with an item on the user engaging but someone in a 6 person party always gets hit usually. Thats why I use 2 characters.

Oh and negative plane protection spell doesn't work or is glitched. I used that 2 times on minsc last play through and after 3 hits he was level drained. Other than that Bg 2 is alright just not as good as the 1st and not as nonlinear.

?, negative plane protection always worked for me. Level Drain is a issue of the game, to make what is too much easy become a bit more difficult, i could agree that lvl drain from undead attacks should allow saving throw as even the lvl 9 spell level drains allows, but to say it's unjust or unfair? No, it's not.

Negative plane protection expires fast, maybe that's the reason why you got level drained.
