When i got my hands on the game, a few months after release, I did give it a try, but my english was not developed enough to really understand the story - so I let it go. Was 16 at the time.
The problem many people have with PS:T comes from the fact they expect to be similar to BG games, since it takes place in the same Forgotten Realms setting and has the same engine. PS:T is about discovering and learning, not farming XP and leveling up. If you are fascinated about the Forgotten Realms lore and spent some time reading about other planes except Faerun, then you will love PS:T, because it's the only Forgotten Realms cRPG that explores so many planes of this setting. Visiting Carceri, Outlands or Baator is interesting enough to give it a try for a change.
Baldur's Gate 1 and 2, and Icewind Dale 1 and 2 (and the expansions for all).
I've -owned- PS:T ever since it came out, but I've never beaten it, and like Cam, haven't ever gotten past the starting area. I still have the original shrink-wrapped box around here somewhere; I never opened it (played the GOG version).
BG saga - each game completed just one (BG1: solo M/T; BG2: solo Paladin) out of... oh so many restarts.
Edit: I just realised that I must have finished BG1 with the Paladin as well, since I remember her (Éowyn was her name) using the Big Metal Unit/Rod during the final battle... this was back in the day when I didn't mind some cheese, but that's not the case anymore (in every sense, eh eh).
BGEE - I'm confident I should be able to complete my full-evil-party run this time! I also had a parallel solo run with a Dragon Disciple but I overwrote the savegame by mistake
IWD - started playing several times, some of them I got quite far, once even with IWDNPCs... never actually completed it though
IWD2 - I created a couple of parties, but never actually started playing. 3rd Edition is... meh.
PST - played just once, got as far as Carceri, then technical problems wiped out my save game... never got any chance to have it running again
(bottom line... please please please, Overhaul, just Enhance-Edition the whole bunch!)
I've finished BG1 about twice. I've played it lots more than that though.. I just seem to get the urge to reroll along the way and try something different =D.
I've never finished BGII SoA or even played ToB. I seem to get "stuck" after completing the major stronghold quest. I think the furthest I've gone is to the start of the underdark once. I think most of the time it's the juxtaposition of the sense of urgency from the main quest line and the overwhelming list of sidequests in the journal that also feel urgent.
PST I've completed a couple of times. I think it rates as my favorite IE game. It was a lot of fun both solo and with party. Party for the excellent story, solo for the "godlike" feeling after you start hitting the high levels (I think I had a 38 mage with some thief and fighter thrown in once).
I never got into IWD 1 or 2. I like 3rd ed over 2nd, but I prefer story to combat generally and IWD story never grabbed me.
IWD 1 and 2, while being focused on combat and lacking the freedom of an open world like BG series, featured the best graphics and music of the whole bunch, which made a great atmosphere. Also IWD2 has a special place in my heart from a nostalgia point of view being the last game of an era. Which reminds me of the D&D 3rd edition engine used by IWD2, having BG:EE and BG2:EE using that engine would have been awesome.

...or not
You are right. Having BG:EE use TOEE engine would have been awesome
Of course, it would have been necessary to halve the number of mobs at least in order not to take 500+ hours to complete the game. But getting rid of filler combat in favor of less but higher quality combat is worth it.
I've beaten BG, SoA, and ToB (only twice for SoA and only once for ToB).
I've beaten IWD at least twice.
I've never beaten IWD2. The first time, I stopped having fun in the time loop dungeon. The last time, which was only a couple of weeks ago, I stopped having fun in the Ice Fortress. I love the 3rd edition rules, but I hate, hate, *hate* labyrinths and puzzles.
I've got PST, but I've never even started it. I like a balance between roleplay and combat, but reading an interactive novel and calling it gaming doesn't really appeal to me.
Out of all of them, I kind of don't like PS:T. Why? I've only played it once, and I screwed up TNO pretty badly on my first try. I didn't know what I wanted to be, and I kind of lost Morte and couldn't save him. It was baaaaaaad.
Beaten both Baldurs Gate games and the first Icewind Dale game (just the main story, not the trials of the Lure Master or Heart of Winter.) . Got to some huge ice temple in the second game before I lost interest. Did get to the final level, I think, in Plancescape but the game kept crashing and I gave up. Never heard of the Konung games before.
The BG series is all I've beaten. IWD1 & 2 are fun, just never beaten them. And now that I've played EE, I can't play any of the IE games anymore.
**Incoming hate**
I cannot for the life of me enjoy PS:T. I have tried 2 or 3 times and nothing, it's like playing CoD for me. I know I'm probably the only person on this forum that dislikes it, but imo a Planescape:EE wouldn't even spark interest in me.
@EnterHaerDalis: I have found that activating 3D acceleration in the game options solves the FPS issues when fighting dragons; it might also work on level 2 of Yaga Shura's lair.

It means "king" in Swedish (I used Google translate).

I've finished BG2 once.
I've finished ToB (but I hated very minute of it)
I've finished IWD (but God was it dull)
I haven't got far in IWD2 (but I have spent ages on character creation).
I have tried really hard to like PST ....
Except IWD2 which i brought twice to the final battle and then gave up in frustration.

Never beaten IWD2, I hate 3rd edition with a bloody passion but I'm determined to beat it after the first IWD
