@luskan you need 50 now to have a chance at succeeding in that particular case.
Good to know. I pickpocket a lot so figuring out the new requirements will be fun. I'm assuming the stats gained by potions count towards these new limits. Maybe I'll go visit Drizzt next...
You can use potions yes.
In the case of Drizzt I believe his weapons are technically in his hands, even if its not what he attacks with, you'll need an 85 to pick pocket off him now.
Or, target has items but your Pick Pocket score isn't high enough to attempt to steal them.
(Did someone say, New Feature???)
That's kind of good. It would decrease the chance of turning people hostile if the NPC knows they have no chance at all of succeeding so they don't even try.
I love cosmetic changes, it makes the game feel more alive, however, i wonder what colors they picked for the priests and the bards, and each races, anyone who could get some screens of that please?
I don't know why, but out of all the UI changes so far I like the new loot window the best!
I DON'T like this If be more precise... I don't like that bag is placed right and looted item/corpse is places to left. In original UI it placed vice versa. It will be confusing a lot first time.
Could you please make that like in original UI?
UPD. My bad.... it like in original UI. My memory was wrong O_o
In love with the new interface. I'm running the game at 1920x1080 without UI scaling and the interface is small, unobtrusive, and never feels like it is hiding your main screen. It just feels so much more open!
I don't know how much people are going to be able to tweak the UI, but I think you could even introduce transparency around the party members, space their portraits out a tiny bit, and add a defining border so they don't blend with the game world. Honestly, I usually hide the left menu, but I like to have the information from the portraits.
Are the spell book icons fixed? In 1.014 they were very blocky, but you could pick up a spell scroll and see the equivalent icon without all the blockyness.
Now, instead of ever taking you away from the game screen, *every* menu is a window that leaves the game visible in the background, as seen below. Yes, even the world map.
The graphics options are still pretty limited in-game, but even here we see the same windowed effect. I love this, because it just never takes you away from the game. THe old method (new screen for every menu) always seemed like a jarring transition. That's gone.

THis is what spell scrolls look like in your inventory. I think it's about the same?
And this is what the Spell Information Window looks like:
This is what the scaled UI looks like. It doesn't scale well. But it doesn't matter, because unscaled is so pretty. I just wish scaling wasn't still the default!

Maybe she was trying to look less like a thief (dressed in black) and more like a random adventurer (be less conspicuous).

It's no different from how it was in BGII.
Is the spellbook/scroll also windowed with transparancy?
What are the kit colors for the other Wizard Slayer and Bounty Hunter?
And so forth...
Thanks!
