Just purchased & currently downloading the EE, but on my original playthrough back in the day, my fighter started out with the following stats. Quite symmetrical imho. 18/77 18 18 14 14 14
Oh and in that same first playthrough my Imoen (not long after leaving Candlekeep) managed to pickpocket Drizzt & get Frostbrand with a natural 20. I'd saved right before the attempt like a good little dork & so I tried again & again to get the other sword (don't recall what it is) but I failed the next 100ish times I tried. First time's the charm I guess.
I rolled a 97 for an Avenger last night. I'm ecstatic. It's the equivalent of rolling a 101 for any other class, thanks to the penalties it incurs to Strength and Constitution. My previous highest for that class was a 93, and even that was impossibly hard.
Also rolled a 98 for a Kensai, with 18(00) Strength. That was a heck of a surprise. I will likely play that character many many times (dualing to mage and thief, both at BG1 appropriate levels and BG2 appropriate levels).
Can't recall the exact original roll of my current character (Cleric/Ranger) but after adjustments he's 18/48, 18, 18, 11, 18, 12. And it took me less than a couple of minutes...
I don't think I've ever broken 100. I've even left a reroller for a illusionist/thief on for hours. It had tens of thousands of rolls. That being said, I usually don't play characters that get high rolls because of their class restrictions (paladin and ranger come to mind). I remember that I once made a mage/cleric in ToB with significantly better stats than Sarevok. It's possible that he broke 100.
There was a guy on a forum I used to post on that started a cleric/mage in BG1 with 3/18/18/18/18/18. By the end of SoA, his stats were 25/19/20/19/22/20, and he hadn't even set foot in Watcher's keep.
I rarely get ridiculous stats, personally, since I lose patience re-rolling once I've reached the mid-eighties. I've occasionally gotten a ranger or paladin into the mid-nineties, but that's hardly tough to do.
More than a decade after my first play through I decided patience is a virtue and to roll some serious stats in BGEE. Made myself some tea and...like 2 and a half hours later i had these for my fighter: STR 18/98 DEX 18 CON 18 INT 13 WIS 13 CHA 18
Saved my build and gaming was done for that day I do get stubborn at times
18, 18, 18, 12, 18, 18 I believe on a Ranger. I find stat rolling is one of the downsides of 2nd edition. I like it a lot, but it seems silly that all the good bonus come around 16+ in most cases. Anything less doesn't usually help a whole lot.
Hey, guys, I literally just now got these beauties:
STR 17 DEX 18 CON 11 INT 18 WIS 17 CHA 17
on a human sorcerer, that's a 98 point total (my previous gighest was 96 I believe, many years ago). It allows me to put 18s in Wis, Int, Dex and a 16 in Con. And now I have a dilemma - should I go with 18 Str and 10 Cha, or the other way around?
Now, I know what you're thinking, why would a sorc need Str? Well, a couple of things - sling dmg bonus(quite useful early on!), and carrying capacity. Also, that way, I can give him the Ring of Human Influence in BG2:EE and have a pretty amazing stat total. As for Cha... it gives some substantial NPC reaction bonuses, but many a player omits it anyway. Unless it's actually negative, Cha isn't really a live or die stat.
Not a baldur's gate character, but once, during a pen and paper session, the DM decided to make everyone roll for their physical characteristics like height and hair colour randomly. This included making female characters roll for their breast size. That was a pretty ridiculous stat to roll.
100/91; I was browsing various works on Deviantart.com looking for portraits, saw this one and was immediately inspired. He's just about to hit level 5 having cleared the Nashkel Mines and will be dual-classing to Druid once he hits level 7 Berserker.
Well, I've officially trumped the 100/91 with my latest roll: a half-elven fighter/mage multiclass who just finished clearing wilderness areas to secure funds for the Robe of Good Archmagi for personal use and the Shadow Armor for Imoen, and will be delving into the Nashkel Mines once I refill my coffee! He is going to be sickeningly powerful in BG2:EE following tome use.
Morianthi the Half-Elf Archer (I've grown to like archers recently) Str - 18/36 Dex - 18 Con - 18 Int - 16 Wis - 16 Cha - 12
@Key_Strokes Nice pic. Where did you get the image? And yes, I envy those stats.:-)
==================================================================== Previous Post: My best roll for BG:EE so far only has a total of 95.
Almeth the Human Archer Str - 18/95 Dex - 18 Con - 16 Int - 14 Wis - 14 Cha - 15
However, I've been very lucky also lately. I had about a dozen different characters with 88-94 totals. No cheats or tools by the way.;p How I wish for more than 100 total.
@fredamora: thanks! I generally browse works on Deviantart.com looking for inspiration. Both screenshots I've posted to this thread feature portraits I've found there and cropped/resized for use in-game.

Idk about BEST stats, but here are my stats on a character I rolled but haven't played yet (waiting for a multiplayer game)
The Wisdom is for when he Dual-classes to Cleric in BG2:EE. He uses Quarterstaves VERY well.

This is simply perfect for my Barb/Druid v*^_^*v ..
Luck's the topic now. Maybe I should roll a new character; hopefully you'd get to share the same luck...aim for 100+!
