    That makes the storyline more unique. I love how the protagonist is very very special, but when things come to godly level he/she is somehow underestimated but wins no matter what.

    @Xavioria Minsc's special ability comes from being from Rashemen. All the Rashemen warriors are Berserkers. I think Edwin's Special Ability was part of his being a Red Wizard (Just checked. It is. They get extra spells per level.) Viconia's magic resistance is part of being a Drow (i.e. all Drow get that ability).
