Ah, you mean the injured sea lion. I was debating not putting that picture up purely for that reason.
It was kinda sad, but also pretty interesting to watch the sea lions all interact on the dock. See, the injured one seems to have been drying out its wounds, probably struck by a motor boat, while the other two were keeping it company. The one that was sticking its head out of the water, in the picture, that's actually a fourth sea lion that tried to jump on the dock with them. But the other slick sea lions would bark at him to go away, because whenever he tried to come on, the dock would sway back and forth. It was like they were trying to protect their friend.
@booinyoureyes Those are real dinosaurs! Don't you know phylogeny?! Birds are both reptiles and dinosaurs! I'm not kidding about that either. Think about it...
"Birds are now recognized as being the sole surviving lineage of theropod dinosaurs. In traditional taxonomy, birds were considered a separate class that had evolved from dinosaurs, a distinct superorder. However, a majority of contemporary paleontologists concerned with dinosaurs reject the traditional style of classification in favor of phylogenetic nomenclature; this approach requires that, for a group to be natural, all descendants of members of the group must be included in the group as well. Birds are thus considered to be dinosaurs and dinosaurs are, therefore, not extinct. Birds are classified as belonging to the subgroup Maniraptora, which are coelurosaurs, which are theropods, which are saurischians, which are dinosaurs."
@Nonnahswriter yesterday (I think, this whisky is nice, but you get cunfosing thingevery... Added that I am holidays) I saw some sea lions, they were a colony of maybe more than two hundred, they made a freaking noise and they had cute little black babies, I thought of this thread when I saw them.

This living fossil and cousin of the dinosaurs may even rival Dimetrodon's cuteness: the three-eyed Tuatara!

(Mantis Shrimp)
These look like rabbits, but are really Viscacha. They are related to Chinchilla, but have rabbit-like ears.
Even their teeth are very rabbit-like.

Then we have Kabuto horseshoe crabs (not actually crabs):
Then there is the pearly nautilus:
Coelacanth is another:
These are just a few of the worlds living fossils.
Here is some proof, kitten…
