Edwina strips naked if she's panicked

Okay, so maybe this is something I never noticed, or it's just a bug, but...
I'm in the lower reaches (AR0204) with Edwina wearing robes of vecna. Clicking the scary statue spawns 2 spiders and a wandering horror, which casts some sort of panic spell. If Edwina fails her save, she drops her robe of vecna before running around like the scared woman she is.
Subsequently, all other members get panicked by the sight of a naked Edwina.

Okay, so the last part doesn't actually happen. Still... is it normal to drop your robes when you're panicked? It doesn't seem to happen with other robes.

    It is normal for this to happen. Certain fear spells (Cloak of Fear is one of them) cause those affected to drop some of their items in a panic. So this would be intended behavior.

    Weird, this has never happened to me before...
    Also weird that I've had Edwin drop her robes multiple times in a row?
