Mark Meer definitely improved as the years went by. In the original mass effect I greatly preferred femshep, but by the time me 3 came he really nailed the performance and I thought he was superior to hales.
I recently replayed Jade Empire and it came as a shock to hear mark Meer in that game. I wasn't aware he did anything much prior to ME. I had no idea he was in the baldurs gates.
I just wanted to express my praise for Gord Marriot's absolutely amazing work. Dorn's voice is definitely my favourite, it made me really like this sh*thead of a half-orc and I strongly suspect I'd mostly ignore him if not for this particular aspect. The only problem is, it gets worse in the SoA ending and ToB too... (insert standard Winters' complaints about Dorn's writing), the timbre is still perfect and stuff, but he sounds... unconvincing? Maybe the voice actor didn't exactly appreciate his lines too.
Honourable mention: Mark Meer as Baeloth. Mr Meer is great in general, but somehow he managed to achieve the impossible - he made slightly psychotic, sadistic CE Drow sorcerer sound adorable and somehow I am certain that was the intention!
