Favorite NPC Voice of Enhanced Edition?

Enhanced edition added plenty of new voices, even for minor characters who only said a few lines. I think the quality of the voice acting was quite good overall. (at least in BG1. Haven't heard anything from 2 yet) What're some of your favorites?

My personal favorite is Senjak from BG1. His voice is just so... His voice is ambrosia. 'Nough said.

For me it's got to be the traumatized elf in the Black Pits. He takes the concept of Khalid's voice and knocks it up several notches. In fact, at times his stuttering reminded me of Derek Jacobi's performance in I, Claudius (if you haven't seen it, this is high praise indeed).

Haven't finished everything in BG2EE yet, but so far I like Lea Gosh'Aar from Black Pits 2 the most, I think. Same voice actress as Neera, but waaay whackier.

Dennaton is pretty good, during most of his lines. The "absolutely VICIOUS hit, I looove iiiiiiittt!" is just great. Or when he responds to Brother Elraish with a "Rrrrright." :D.

Of course, Dorn (voiced by Gord Marriott) also deserves a mention. Dat voice.

I don't have a favourite and I like most of the dialogue. Though if I absolutely had to choose I'd probably choose Dorn. The only thing I don't like is Gamaz's voice. Whats up with the change from talking regularly to rolling his r's? Its like he's going for bad scottish...but only some of the time.

I always thought Neera's voice in BG1EE was awful, but she really improves in BG2EE. I haven't played with her into ToB but one of her best lines is when you send her into Resurrection Gorge's circle to call forth the demons fighting over Dorn. It conveys raw emotion and it scares me, actually.

I have yet to play the Black Pits 2, but I think one of my favorite voices is Phil, the faerie dragon with the overly-long title.

Tyris or Lyris or uhh...whatever that woman is who asks you if you've seen Dorn, comes to mind. Dorn your friends and burned bridges have nice-sounding voices.
Neera, Rasaad, your friendses voices are alright.

Yeah, what *is* up with Gamaz's voice? It's really weird. After I played a couple times I thought maybe it's deliberately off because he's all brainwashed, but I don't know.

Baeloth cracks me up. "I have little taste for sleeping in a dog pile with you rivvil. Find me an inn!"
Since a number of the people they employed were local actors in Edmonton I'm just assuming it must have been an actor who was practising for his audition for a Tim Horton's Roll up the Rim to Win commercial.

(Sorry that was a really lame joke that few people will get without googling it)

I actually thought Deneton's voice was absolutely aweful, tbh. I guess I'm alone in that.

I also really like Najim in the first game but I feel like they changed his voice actor in the second and it is just not as good as the BP1 version.

oh! and Rasaad, Wilson and that hippie guy from the Wild Mage hideout were all awesome

    Baeloth is better than everybody!!!!!

Only of the EE NPCs, I forgot to mention him and Neera, both nice voices (and Dorn's BG1:EE is sometimes fine, other times it's :| pretty meh).
Still, nothing can be compared to Xzar.

As for Dorn... His voice has an effect on me I cannot describe in detail because this forum is PG13...

    Oh good. I'm not the only one. ^_^;;

Rasaad's a close second for me, though I've yet to touch his BG2:EE content, so this is mostly going off of BG1. Baeloth is a riot. I should really get around to finishing the Black Pits so I can write that awesome Black Pits fanfic that I've been thinking about play the Black Pits 2.

I will say all the voices of Mark Meer. So that would be Rasaad, Baeloth, and perhaps others I didn't realize yet. I know, however, he did a good job on these two characters

btw, what characters did he voice in the original? i know he did additional voices in the original release, and I think I've made him out of some of the minor characters, but I don't recall who these people were I thought were him nor could I be entirely sure

Wait a minute. Rasaad AND Baeloth? As in, one person? As in, He who Adores the Moon and Talks in Poetry is voiced by the same crazy drow elf who's destined to run a psychopathic game show?

    Welp. I learned something new today. o_o;;

I did like the female head of the Wild Mage Refuge in BG:SoA, though I can't recall her name.
Additionally, I thought that Neera was a lot of the time very well voiced, and that the actor had very good comic timing. She came up short in places, but all in all was richer in her delivery that the other NPCs.

Dorn was very well voiced, though his dialogues were brief and left a lot to be desired.

Can't think of anyone else. I concur with @booinyoureyes that Dennaton's voice was dreadful, and Baeloth's too if I'm honest, though that is as much a fault of the fact that he was written with a contemptible quirk. In BP2, I just avoided talking to him. I didn't even care to try it out once to see what he says. That character is just grand-ultra-irritating.

Wait, so did najim's voice actor change in between games?

He also provides a very brief bit of voiceover work in the ending shadows of amn video (around 1:31). Of course he would have recorded this when SoA came out.

wow so that is one area where he did provide voice work in the original. awesome! does anyone know others? i think Meer is a fantastic VA and I actually like male shep better than fem shep in Mass Effect, so I would like to see just what he's done in Baldur's Gate.

I don't know any others for Mark Meer but

Worf...err...Michael Dorn plays the voice of Bhaal during the dream sequence in chapter 4 of BG2.

Trivia: Mark Meer also plays Viconia's brother during the Master Wraith encounter in ToB. You can tell because he sounds like Baeloth. That certain strain in his voice when he gets angry with Viconia is what gives him away, because it sounds like Baeloth screaming.

I thought so, it just sounded a lot different, but I don't know b
I thought dennoten's voice..... I don't know. I just lacked, color, I guess. It seemed forced. I did like the "rrriiiiigghhtt..." Though. And mark mere is awesome. Really awesome.
