Five seconds. Four. Three. Two. One. A deep breath. The countdown timer has led to...

The Android version of BG:EE!

www.baldursgate.com

After several years of anticipation we, android users, can finally taste the best RPG in the world on Android devices. I think no words can describe how glad and grateful I am. Thanks to the Devs for making my dream a reality. No matter what some people say, YOU HAVE DONE IT! No matter how hard it was, no matter how much time it took, it will stay in eternity: Baldur's Gate, considered the finest RPG of all times, runs smoothly on Android thanks to Beamdog!

My Nexus 7 was bought more than a year ago specifically to be able to play BG and at last it IS possible, I'm so delighted :)

Android users and hamsters everywhere, rejoice!

Great. Now I only have to wait for my earl outdoor tablet with E-Ink screen to come out. I imagine playing BG:EE on top of a mountain summit shoud prove to be quite enjoyable. Especially when roleplaying as a Mountain Druid Charname.

... Hopefully they release it this year...

Many times I said that I have no interest in playing EE in any way. Got a new phone two days ago and now I have to sit here repeating "NOT BUYING IT NO WAY" ad infinitum.
    Great.

    Great.

You can probably go back to boycotting BGEE, because
Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for Android is built to run on any device running Android 4.0 or later, with a 5" or larger screen.
... unless you bought one of these terrifyingly large phones.

I thought all Android phones come standard with a 5.5+ inch screen? xD

I think this is true, yes. I have an iPad mini that I carry around, so I know how you guys with the small ones feel.

I thought so too until my brother started complaining aaand it turned out that most phones with Android 4.0 indeed do have a pretty large screen but in many cases not large enough. Still, this info is purely theoretical, I use mobile devices as ebook readers exclusively so it's not my experience with mobile gaming speaking, but Google :)

My N4 runs it, no problems with market, though that might be an oversight.

I will say that 4.1" screen is too small for me, though I have very large fingers.

@enneract, so my dainty lady fingers have a chance of making it work well on a smaller screen?:D

Gotta have to ask: Anyone tried to play the game with their toes yet?

Probably, although I would still recommend a stylus. And glasses.

I tried it with my keyboard and mouse. It did not go well :p

I know I'm going to try playing with my dangling bits once I scrape enough money to buy it.

That came out wronger than I thought.

I tried playing with my nose on iPad.
Role-played an evil PC and got killed by the Candlekeep Watchers.

Nose only actually makes quite a lot of sense, at least when it comes to turning pages while cooking. :D

    Soon in the forums:

Playthrough - No reload, toes only Challenge

Playthrough - No reload, nose only Challenge

Complete with videos from the challenger playing to prove no fingers ever touched the controls during play time...

Hehe. No reload, middle toe only challenge.
