If you had to pick.

If you had to pick one game as it was made when released no mods no nothing and a one movie to go with you on deserted island which ones would you pick.

My pick for a movie would be Interview with a vampire.
And for a game its a lot harder to pick if mods were allowed i would take baldurs gate 1 but without the option of mods i would have to take Nethack.

I guess something with no storyline where it's all in the gameplay, figuring I'd be playing it over and over. Starcraft2 perhaps, or Quake.
Edit - Hell, what am I talking about, an MMO for sure!

Movie - maybe Hamlet (the Branagh version)

@Moomintroll I were thinking about an mmo as well.. but since we are on a deserted island.. the chances for internet connection is probably rather limited :)

Question - how long will I be on this deserted island ?
  • raywindraywind Member Posts: 289

@Moomintroll Ye.. If we had internet connection.. I think I would take World of Warcraft, ofc unless the expansions count as mods.. because if you get the whole package.. its prob the game with the most content I have ever encounteret.

Game - Skyrim. Not my all time favorite (that would be Deus Ex), but a great time killer.
    Film - Star Wars Trilogy.

Game - Morrowind (never did complete the main quest and I love its atmosphere and music)
Movie - Singin' in the Rain. (I always wanted to be a tapdancer... don't judge me)

Game : Either The Binding of Isaac or Terraria. Both excellent to kill hours after hours.

Movie : I dunno, I have this once-in-a-year tradition where I watch Click, which is one of my favorite movies around, especially considering it's a silly comedy. But the message it gave to the people was so strong that I felt close to it. So yeah, Click, definitely

    Game - Uncharted
    Movie - Castaway

I don't particularly like this game and movie, but they will sort of act as a "how-to" on how to actually survive and get off the island.

Why would i take a game or a movie... I will not have computer or tv. To use the disks as a frisbee? I'd rather not.

You want your wife to become stranded on a deserted island? What kind of a husband are you?

I take it you will make your own games with it? With C++ alone, I think you'll be making mostly text based adventures.
