Just a fun thought I have been playing with. Imagine you were given a choice to settle down in any of the locations visited throughout the Bhaalspawn saga. Where would you choose to live and why?

In modern times, I imagine the Bridge would undergo rapid gentrification and become a really hip part of town with farmer's markets, coffeeshops, microbreweries and so on.
...have I ever mentioned that I hate the heat?
I'm there
Edit: But I'd work in the Bridge District.
Imnesvale is a charming, small village with its own legends, peaceful after Charname's adventures. Plus friendly monster protectors. Sounds perfect to me:)
Oh, yeah. Kindle. That's why
That music is totally worth it.
As to myself, I'm so used to living in cities that I'd probably end up in one, but at the same time I love spending time outdoors. My best bet would be to find a nice place somewhere in uptown Baldur's Gate, I quite like the Northwest, and keep the Sashenstars' Cloakwood Cabin for the holidays. They won't mind, they're pushing up daisies as we speak.
One Chamber of Commerce type idea I might work on would be the promotion of an annual 2 week-long Book Fair. Such things occurred regularly before the advent of Printing Presses and were seminal affairs from which the intellectual life of nations were enriched and enlightened. They also involved substantial amounts of money and appropriate occasions for aristocratic displays of refined tastes and interests.
I suggest also that the Nashkel Mines indicate an area of Metamorphic Geology adjacent to the Igneous Zone of Iron-mining. This in turn suggests a fairly high possibility of Precious Jewels such as Emerald, Sapphire, Topaz, Aquamarine, Garnet, etc.
I also want to make the major story of my life tracking down exactly what it was that happened at Ulcaster in all its aspects and making sure it never happens again. So much extraordinary talent wasted. That trauma still is reflected in a tumultuous nether-zone of Havoc/Pain that all Arcane Users must endure at a certain Higher level. A passage from which none have recently emerged undiminished.
I also have a thing about Mirianne.... !!
Per canon, circa 1368 DR the "upper" side of the city is the higher rent district (wealthier residents built higher up on the slope on the other side of the original city wall that bifurcates the city). But I suppose I'd prefer to be fairly centrally located. Maybe a bit north of the original city wall. A nice stroll from the Wide (the city's perpetual open market).
