Swashbuckler Can't Specialize?

Game Version: v1.3.2049
OS Version: Android 4.4.2
Device: Nexus 7 2012

I've tried to create a Human Swashbuckler three times on my tablet. When I try and select weapon proficencies, it will only allow me to put one dot in melee weapons. I'm sure this wasn't the case in the past. I've got a screengrab on my tablet which I'll post tonight and I'll try my desktop version to confirm the issue isn't there.

    It's the same on PC. You cannot specialise at character creation, but you can specialise on level-up (tried it, you can specialise at level 4 with a Swashbuckler). I think this is intentional as it is not the only class that has this behaviour. @Dee would know for certain.

    @Troodon80‌ I am not sure. In version 1.2 you can specialize at character creation but in version 1.3 you can't. I can find no issues on redmine about such a change. It may have been unintentional. Of course it could have been intentional too.

    It's intentional. Warrior classes can specialize at level 1, non-warriors can't. I believe the way it was working before was ignoring the 2da and just setting the max value at level 1 to two pips for every class. The fix makes the 2da work the way it's supposed to.

    I created a Swash on the PC last night and it could still specialize at level 1. I don't have any mods installed.

    @Walstafa, it's the latest public beta. 1.2.0000 is much older than the Android version. If you have access to the public beta on PC then try that instead.

    That's fine, I'd much rather have weapon spec at level 1 if it's all the same. ;-) Haven't been keeping up on latest beta changes at all.
