Help with a list of the best BG:EE mods out there right now.

This page is a little list I am trying to create for the people out their who, like me, are stumped by the number of patches, fixes and tweaks currently out their that try and make Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition an even better experience for people. I am trying to create this list as a way to find the best mods, and the ones you couldn't go without, for anyone who want's them. I am appealing to the community for help with this, as I have not tried many of the mods people recommend, and I am hoping that the people on this site can give me some good pointers. I would also like mods on here to be available for download at the time of posting. All mods can be posted here, be it new quests, better NPC's, or a simple patch, I'd like to hear it.

If you want to change GUI, use BG:EE GUI Mod:

I've thought the question was about BG:EE only (not BG2:EE). If we're speaking about the second game, then the OP here - http://forum.baldursgate.com/discussion/23726/bgii-ee-compatible-mod-list/p1 - is all you need in terms of mods. Sword Coast Stratagems and Rogue Rebalancing are solid choices.

It is mostly mods about the first game i'm looking for, I probably should have put that somewhere.

@bengoshi‌, @Soltra‌ - BG2 Tweaks is BG:EE compatible. Most of the components are not specific to BG2/TOB/BG2EE (i.e., they work on any "BG2 engine" game), and in fact it has several "BG1-only" components (well, Tutu/BGT/BGEE-only components, not original BG1). So, I thought it would be good to list here.

Is rouge rebalancing compatible with ee these days then or does it still require testing?

Regardless scs is a must have if you want a decent ai and npc project ran fairly well for me, certainly with no game breaking bugs and the minor ones that I came across @AstroBryGuy‌ has repaired really worthwhile mod though and I recommend it for anyone who wants to breathe fresh life into baldurs gate

Yes, the Rogue Rebalancing mod is BG2:EE compatible.

Yes, BG2 Tweaks is increasingly an apocryphal name. It works for vBG2, Tutu, BGT, BGEE, BGIIEE, and IWD-in-BG2. Components which are not relevant to your game are skipped automatically.

You need to play the original game before trying out SCS, or you'll never understand what it is or how it changes your game.
