I can't seem to save after going out of the sewers after killing the beholder.

When I go out I can't save, so I go back into the sewers and it fixes the problem. Its a strange bug.

    Sounds like some script is active in that area, if you move around the temple district there may be a dialogue or scene somewhere.

    I may know what this is being caused by. Try leaving the sewers and waiting in the temple district a good few minutes and see if it lets you save after a while.

    I suspect someone is trying to escape area from after leaving the Gaal speech and is preventing save.
