Turn off non attack roll attacks(?)

Is there any way to turn of the attacks that are just for show but does not do anything?
Example: You see the characters constantly flailing around with their weapons but only a few of those attacks are attack rolls. I want to only see the attacks that are "real" attacks.
And a little bonus question that just came to mind is there any way to keep the game from playing faster if you increase the fps? I changed the fps from 30 to 60 and everything is so fancy and smooth but the characters move extremely quick and if I equip boots of speed they move faster than a Ctrl+J teleport. I reluctantly had to lower it to 45 fps but I really don't want to :[

Baldurs gate already shows the "actual" swings but also a few that no doubt are just there to increase the action in the game. I don't like these extra swings since it takes away some strategy to not know when the character will do real attacks
2/ Try putting it to 60 and you will see how smooth everything becomes
Edit: never mind, it should
Another little tactical use I found with this is that I get more utility out of my warrior classes. Turn on "pause after each round" and then count down how many attacks you have left in this round and you can do some fun things.
As an *extreme* example, say you are a dual wielding druid avenger in spider form with 5 APR and you are surrounded by two diseased gibberlings, one drow mage and a heavy damage dealing half orc kensai. The round begins and you have 5 attacks to make, the drow mage didn't scribe protection spells so he starts casting melf's acid arrow. Then you can immediately use your first attack to interrupt his spell and then don't bother with him for the rest of the round since he can only cast one spell per round and you have 4 attacks left. You can then spend two attacks to take down the gibberlings to lower the damage you will take in future rounds and your last attack to smack the kensai in the face. Next round the mage is back in action and you have 5 attacks once more, the mage did not learn his lesson and instead of firing away a spell like magic missile(or like using an invisibility potion) he tries another acid arrow which our spider can counter with another attack. Four attacks are left and they can be spent on the kensai.
Then we can just rinse and repeat it until all are down. This would also work even better if the health of enemies could be seen as numbers but that may take out some of the fun, but it would be pretty cool to have it as an option...
This can of course be done without this "mod" if you enable the option to see to-hit rolls but then you will have to stare at the combat log instead of the battlefield which is to me a lot less fun. I personally think this made the games otherwise quite boring warrior classes much more fun.
Now these classes are more about smart distribution instead of just "Me enter berserking state. Me hit puny elf(half-elf) with flail, me *ROAR* and mark territory!".
So all in all thanks a lot, I really appreciated this!
