A bunch of neat baldur.ini options in BG2EE 1.3 that I've noticed (carry overs from IWDEE)

Disable Cosmetic Attacks is my favorite ini option.

If you add it to your ini file it should work even in BG:EE.

Oh awesome, thanks for that. Will try now :)

I can't get it to work in BG:EE. Am I doing something wrong?

Yeah it didn't work when I tried it either :(

Would really like it in BGEE too :(

I just heard from a friend that in his BG2EE installation on a MAC he is seeing combat feedback like this:
"takes 6 piercing damage", "takes 20 slashing damage"
So the weapon type used by the encounter is indicated. But it's not like this in my game. Do i need to set up something in the baldur.ini?

I know IWDEE has that. Not sure about BG2EE.

I do not have that feature with BG2EE 1.3 on windows and neither on iOS, but when i look at the screenshot of "Siege of Dragonspear" it's there:

I will ask him again in more detail ;-)

IWDEE and SoD are using a more up-to-date version of the engine than BG2EE at the moment. So that isn't so surprising.

I'm gonna pretend like I am a complete nooblet (mhmmm tasty nooblets) for a few here, as I cannot for the life of me remember some of these.

The following Game Options I recall and don't remember, or do not recognize, and a little bit of community help is welcomed.

    All Learn Spell Info
    Render Actions
    Memory Level

And if someone can explain to me WHAT Cosmetic Attacks does exactly, I will gladly thank them.

With cosmetic attacks turned off, a sprite only goes through its combat animation when the character is actually attacking. So a char with one attack per round will only move once per round. With cosmetic attacks on, the sprite will continuously play its combat animations during the fight.
