Is there a toned down version of Ascenscion

While the new dialogues and options seem interesting the rest of the mod just seems to be overly brutal. I already have the SCS components for that which should be more reasonable at least with my setup without the spell caster and demon boost. Ascencion on the other hand seems to be downright brutal...

Is that what you're looking for?
Maybe I was just wrong because they sound so extreme.
There is an additional parameter in the stratagems.ini to prevent the fiends from casting instantaneously.
And in the aTweaks mod there are console options to control some features (such as gating).
Edit : without installing ascension.
But yeah, I am hoping to have a more toned down version eventually of the final fight for those that just want the new story elements but don't want to be pulling their hair out trying to figure out the best strategy.
A few tips I can recommend:
Send Balthazar to face Abazigal by himself to keep him busy. Take out Illasera asap, cast imprisonment on Yaga Shura - just so Sendai will cast Freedom - while she is busy destroy her, Gromnir can be taken out at any time (he really isn't a factor), now finish off Abazigal if Balthazar hasn't. Finally take out Yaga Shura which will trigger Melissan's enabled death. Done.
Grab the time stop immunity early as you can (Focus) and be ready for Sendai and Abazigal. When Melissan summons demons - use your Control Demon power to take them away from her. I had 56 of her demons in one playthrough, makes the fight super easy.
Plenty of other strategies out there - I never had a very hard time winning this fight - challenging yes, but wouldn't call it hard.
I will probably use Ascension in the next play through because installing it now will probably break things. Even though changing SCS components later did not do that but Ascension would be totally wrong in the install order.
