I finished the game. Can I continue questing?

People,
First of all, I'm almost 36 years-old and I'm one of them old school types who love these games and played the original ones. Beamdog THANK YOU for bringing this jewel to us. I had HUGE amounts of fun with IWD EE (played all: basic, ToTL and now HoW).
That said, once I finished the game (no spoilers) in HoW, I got a cinematic and an automatic save, but I cannot go back and do more stuff. :- (( I got some items and things I'd certainly like to do, but I cannot.
Is there a way to continue playing HoW after you finished it?

There're many of us, "old school types who love these games and played the original ones" here.
As soon as you finish the HoW (if it's a standalone campaign and not from the main IWDEE line), the game ends.
