Filling the 6th slot

Hi,
I'm planning an Insane => Hof Run or possibly a level 1 HoF Run with a full group, but I'm torn regarding the last spot, here's what I've got thus far:
Human Undead Hunter
Proficiencies: Longswords (Pale Justice), Axes (Throwing Axe), Maces (when blunt weaponry is required)
Human Berserker9/Cleric
Proficiencies: Flails (GM), Two Weapon Style, Maces, Hammers
Elven Fighter/Mage/Thief
Proficiencies: Longbows, Longswords, Shortswords, Daggers, Two Weapon Style
Thieving Skills: Find Traps, Disarm Traps, Open Locks
Human Kensai9/Mage
Proficiencies: Axes, Two Weapon Style, Flails/Maces/Hammers ?
Half-Elf Bard
Attributes: Str: 10, Dex: 18, Con: 16, Int: 18, Wis: 10, Cha: 10
Proficiencies: Crossbows, Halberds, Longbows
I'm debating the following for the 6th slot:
Kensai9/Druid, Dwarven Defender, Archer, Skald, Fighter/Mage/Cleric
- Kensai9/Druid brings some more spells to the table but I'll mainly use him as a bark/ironskinned damagedealer. Not sure whether to go with GM scimitars or staves, as I'm not sure what's available itemwise yet.
- Dwarven Defender - Tanky Axe/Hammer-wielding damagedealer that doesn't run out of steam
- Archer - Interrupt those pesky casters, although I'm leaning towards *not* using this one as magical ammo seems to be somewhat lacking in IWD from what I've gathered so far. Open to persuasion, though
- Skald - Add another very useful song along with some arcane buffage when needed.
- Fighter/Mage/Cleric - will be a slow starter but get stronger, especially late game (cleric buffs, tensers etc.)
Also, seeing as I'm not entirely sure of what's out there in terms of items, please feel free to provide input regarding weapon proficiency selections, in case I've overlooked anything. Particularly unsure about the kensai weaponpicks. Always liked katanas and scimis, but not sure there's any really good ones in the game. Maybe go for longswords if there's plenty to go around. The f/m/t doesn't have be wielding two of em. IIRC Singing Sword of Aihonen is a good option, no ?

From your choices, I would take a Kensai 9/Druid
A Druid will give you nice summons and other spells that can only be seen in IWD.
As for min-maxing, it's a compulsory thing for me I'm afraid
