Somewhat inspired by @GreenWyvern's success with his artistic thread, and by @DJ_Sweatz_2013's character creation thread, I decided to, for the first time ever, share some of my stories with people on a large scale. I am pretty shy about doing this so try to be gentle with me here.
I have been making my stories for practically my whole life. These stories have for the most part been based on the various video games I have played throughout my life. I like to use my games as inspiration and alter or make assumptions about the setting as I see fit (Spellplagues and Armageddon's Blade wars are stupid and do not happen!). I do make up original material from time to time though. All of my stories are subject to factual and historical change at my whim.
The vast majority of my stories take place in the same universe with each setting getting its own planet or two somewhere in either the Milky Way or Andromeda galaxies. If there is a main character it is the enigmatic C who travels the two galaxies in search of adventure. Just about everyone is connected to C in some way or other. Toril takes up a huge portion of my stories and Tresset plays a role there similar to C.
I am not sure how often I will be updating this or what format it will take. Not sure where to start either but I guess we shall see what happens...
Feel free to ask questions of clarification on any points you want in my stories by the way. I will likely include details in my stories that make little sense to anyone but me (such as references to characters I haven't explained yet).

In life, Patrick was an elf (raised by humans maybe, or at least named by humans... I never really went into detail about that). His story starts when he decided to leave his home and travel to a newly founded university of magic, Ulcaster School, to pursue his interest in the arcane powers. There he decided to refuse graduation until he had taken every single course offered by the school, no matter how long it would take. Soon he became a well known and popular figure at the school, and was quickly making tremendous bounds in his magical skill. His homework assignments and projects usually involved a magical staff that he created and enchanted and improved as he went through his education. After about 80 years at Ulcaster School it was finally time for his graduation. Because of his fame and popularity a big ceremony and celebration was planned for his graduation. Unfortunately this did not end as planned. Patrick's graduation was used as a perfect diversion for an attack upon Ulcaster by a rival Calimshite school. A great battle ensued by the rival schools and Patrick joined his fellow students to defend the school from their jealous rivals. In the end, Patrick died defending Ulcaster like most of the students and teachers and the once great school became a ruin, the Calamshite school victorious in the end. Patrick's life long dream of leading the life of an adventurer and teaching all he had learned to an apprentice was ruined...
But it doesn't end there! Even in death, somewhere in the upper planes, Patrick's spirit could not find contentment. He believes he continued to learn magic even there, but was never truly content. Eventually, with the help of a former classmate (and lover) and a celestial, his spirit was able to break free of the upper planes and return to the spot where he had died about 300 years later as a lich. He does not remember exactly how he did this or even hardly anything about his time in the heavens, aside from what arcane knowledge he was able to learn while there. The journey across the planes was costly however. He had used almost all his power and without having an actual phylactery aside from his newly reformed skeletal body, he had almost no powers beyond that of an ordinary skeleton. His mighty magical staff was nowhere to be found as it had been taken by some adventurer or other. Without it, it would take him a great deal of time to regain his powers. Eventually he was able to locate the nearby town of Beregost, where he hid and listened to the conversations of the locals. Eventually he learned that a very powerful semi-retired adventurer named "Tresset" lived on the outskirts of the town (Tresset is my head canon Bhaalspawn and this takes place after the events of ToB). Upon hearing this Patrick headed to this adventurer's house to hopefully learn more about him by pretending to be the skeleton of a dead traveler that had fallen just outside of Tresset's house. Tresset soon discovered Patrick was not actually dead and brought him into his house for questioning. After hearing of Patrick's plight and using Imoen's help to magically determine Patrick's alignment, Tresset agreed to help Patrick by searching for the staff.
Tresset was eventually able to locate the staff at a farm house on the outskirts of Baldur's Gate owned by a husband, wife, and their 12 year old daughter, Leilah. (The recovery of the staff is another story altogether and I am still working on it. I may cover it when I give Leilah's story.) After Tresset returned the staff to him, Patrick asked another favor of Tresset: To find him an apprentice he could teach his magic to and adventure the world with. Tresset was able to arrange an agreement between Patrick, Leilah, and her parents that Leilah would be Patrick's apprentice.
Currently, Patrick is a relatively unknown adventurer who travels with Leilah, his quick learning firebrand apprentice, and her boyfriend, Troy, a street urchin Leilah met during their adventures and became attached to. Patrick often gives Leilah and Troy vacations which they usually spend with Leilah's parents, while Patrick embarks on more dangerous adventures alone.
Patrick is well into the epic levels and quite easily one of the most powerful casters on Toril. Despite this he is almost always in good humor and has a friendly personality and has a love of adventure. He is somewhat ambivalent about his undead nature; he misses many things about being alive but also enjoys just as many things about being a lich. Despite being a wizard, Patrick has learned how to cast spells without preparation much like a sorcerer, but he requires his staff to do this. He has since made a phylactery which is guarded by Tresset in his home. Notable friends of Patrick include (in no particular order), but are not limited to: Tresset, Diamond Mind, Girgnaw, and Clayzor. Patrick is approximately Lawful Good in alignment.
But to answer your questions, Tresset figured it out pretty much instantly when he saw a skeleton on his property. That is very out of place since C built Tresset a force field that usually protects his property (it appears as a dome but is actually a sphere as it goes underground too). Tresset had the force field off when Patrick decided to play dead so there was no way a dead body would have been there long enough to decompose into a skeleton without his notice. The only way for it to have gotten there was if it was already a skeleton when it was placed there. Tresset also has a pet basilisk trained to protect his property so a statue would be more likely. Anyway, Patrick was most definitely frightened since he was powerless and and Tresset's mercy and didn't want to lose everything, since he had risked so much to return to the primes. I am sure he pleaded his case to Tresset in rather desperate way. Tresset was not so much angry as he was perplexed. His first reaction was "what the heck?!" but his adventures had taught him many lessons about how not all is as it seems, and he was more curious about what was going on than anything else.

So what should I do next? A story from Toril, or from somewhere else?
I think people on a BG forum are always going to be interested in Toril, but this intergalactic business sounds intriguing too.
Girgnaw is a gnoll who would be considered a genius by even elven standards. As a child Girgnaw always felt different from the other gnolls in his small tribe. He did not enjoy the seemingly mindless antics the other gnolls would get involved in. Instead of playing or fighting (not that there was much of a difference between the two as far as he could tell) with his tribe mates, Girgnaw would often try to look at the various baubles and trinkets that the older gnolls brought back from their raids to figure out how they worked. The other gnolls thought Girgnaw was just a strange and weak gnoll that would never survive to adulthood... until the day he picked up a stick discarded by another gnoll and uttered what they thought was gibberish causing an explosion of light and colors to come out of the end of the stick, rendering half of the tribe unconscious. After a long, long day of explaining what he did and that he was not a deity, or a sorcerer, or a dragon in disguise as a gnoll, or an enemy from a rival tribe with a shaman, or any of the other crazy theories they came up with, Girgnaw was able to convince them that he was still a friend of the tribe and he could maybe teach them how to use the Wand of Color Spray. After he taught several of the other gnolls how to use the stick of pretty colors a big fight broke out as everyone wanted to make the pretty colors appear. By the end of the night the gnoll camp and just about everyone in the tribe was covered in glowing colors and the wand had broken from too much use... or it was broken while the gnolls were fighting over it... It hardly mattered to Girgnaw, who decided to wander off for a bit while the fight was going on. After this event the gnolls would always bring Girgnaw the various things they found while out hunting or raiding in hopes that he could teach them what they were. Girgnaw would try to figure things out for the tribe, with varying levels of success, but would not tell them about items he thought were magical anymore since he didn't want a repeat of the color wars. Thus he became a very valuable and respected, but still a bit strange, member of the tribe.
One day, after Girgnaw had became a young adult, the tribe insisted that he come with them on a raid, despite Girgnaw's protests. So Girgnaw gathered all of the items he suspected were magical that he had been saving over the years and went out on their raid, hoping nothing bad would happen. When the raiding party came upon an old human man wearing robes Girgnaw begged the rest of the group to leave him alone, but they wouldn't listen. The raiding party demanded all of the mage's possessions while Girgnaw pulled out a paper that he suspected was magical and did his best to read the strange words aloud. Shortly after that a huge explosion of fire struck right in the middle of the group of gnolls. As the fire and smoke died down the old mage was stunned to see one gnoll huddled in a ball on the ground with a shimmering transparent globe of magic around him, completely unharmed. With the rest of the gnolls dead, the mage became curious about this young gnoll and spoke to Girgnaw. "How did you do that?" he asked. Girgnaw looked at him with fear in his eyes (not realizing he had used a Scroll of Protection from Magic) and said "No kill me! Not my idea! I tell stupid tribe no!" using words both in Common and Gnollish language. The mage responded "Yes, of course, but how did you do that?" Girgnaw simply looked at the mage with a frightened and confused expression. The mage then walked over to Girgnaw and pointed at the globe of energy surrounding him and asked again "How did you do this?" Girgnaw, noticing the globe for the first time, responded "Say paper?" Impressed by this, the mage took Girgnaw by the hand and led him to his home where he would try to teach Girgnaw about language, civilization, and the arcane arts.
Over the next several years Girgnaw proved to be a quick and eager learner. Girgnaw also learned much about the ancient Netherese, which was a subject his master specialized in. Eventually he surpassed his master's skill and learned to cast the most powerful of spells. Shortly after achieving this, however, Girgnaw's master died of old age leaving all his possessions to his apprentice. Girgnaw collected what valuable items his master left him and set out to look for adventure. Shortly after leaving he had a chance encounter with Patrick, who was on his way to introduce himself to some of Tresset's other friends that he had heard about. The two spoke for a bit. After Girgnaw realized that Patrick was actually friendly and after Patrick realized that Girgnaw was actually a genius mage, Patrick invited Girgnaw to come with him to meet Clayzor Mysticscale, who was also a powerful arcane caster. Girgnaw agreed. After staying with Patrick and Girgnaw stayed with Clayzor for a few days they went their separate ways. At Patrick's suggestion, Girgnaw headed to Tresset's house and stayed there a bit hoping to meet other adventurers who would be more suitable traveling companions for him. Eventually he partnered up with Abdahn, a monk friend of Tresset's who had come to visit Tresset after his own adventuring party went their separate ways.
Girgnaw has only just learned to cast level 9 spells. He is very intelligent and creative and has a very snarky sense of humor. He often likes to make jokes about himself being a gnoll and his name, which he finds amusing because the other gnolls put the word "gnaw" in it. He invented his own spell which he calls Girgnaw's Whips. This spell causes tentacle like whips of energy to extend out of Girgnaw's hands and, if he so chooses, feet. He uses the whips as weapons and to move about and manipulate things as if they were extensions to his limbs. Girgnaw's most prized possession is a Netherese artifact; a focus that can be used to summon an intelligent wisp like creature named Attiz. Attiz has the ability to wander the planes at will and can bring objects and creatures of any size with him. He was created by the Netherese to store things and aid in planar travel. Notable friends of Girgnaw include (in no particular order), but are not limited to: Patrick, Clayzor, Tresset, and Abdahn. Girgnaw is approximately Neutral Good in alignment.
