I've had this happen before, but I forgot to keep a save file, but here is on now, title explains it all

I suspect I know what is going on here, and if so it is a known issue that I reported a long time ago.

Just for future reference: It helps us a lot more if you are more descriptive in your bug report. We need to know what happened leading up to the issue and not just a saved game that has it.

My question is this: Do you ever load the game and immediately press the spacebar after pushing the load button but before the game screen comes up so that the game is paused upon your load? Could you have perhaps loaded an autosave like this and then immediately ordered your characters to enter a party required area? Could you have then reloaded the autosave again after doing this? If you do this I would suggest you stop doing it and this bug will stop happening.

as far as I know, I have not been instantly space barring as soon as I load a game, in both instances for what I can remember, they were both games where I made the entire team of six in multiplayer and had the main guy be a two handed wielder ( both times he had "the world's edge") but I have brought many teams of six in the beginning of SoA before and this has never happened, maybe if it's a half-orc that is holding world's edge upon starting, this happens? ( because I know the summon cheat for harbringer in SoA has the same as world's edge in bg1 because world's edge doesn't exist in bg2) could that be whats happening here?

I am pretty sure that sword wouldn't be the cause... It would probably be something more like what I said. Is it possible you maybe loaded an autosave a few times?

Are you on version 1.3 of the game @sarevok57 as it has two fixes for the genie.

Some other questions to help understand what may be happening.
Did you continue in multiplayer, transfer the autosave from the mpsave folder to the save folder or do something else.
Were the 2 games created straight after starting BGII:EE, or had you been using it a while and gone through the quit > new game path without shutting BGII:EE down in between.

    Thanks

its the newest version 1.3, I remember taking the mpsave and transferring it over to the "singleplayer" save, but it wasn't an autosave, I manually saved the game ( probably 4 or 5 seconds after the first scene was finished with imoen) , then turned the game off, transferred it, and opened up the game in single player

OK, I can repro this by using a party of 6 so raised on that basis. Could you confirm this was the case with your previous save, and not with the ones that worked.
(there may be other scenerios where this bugs out, this is either the 2nd or 3rd).
    Thanks
