I'm a guy and play as a guy. I'd have no problem playing as a girl, but then I'd need a mod to have a lesbian romance with Viconia. :)

There is a way to get Viconia (or Aerie or Jaheira) to romance a female character without installing a mod. You just create a male character then use Shadowkeeper to change them to female. Though your character will appear as a female the game still 'remembers' them as male. It won't of course change any of Viconia's dialogues so she will still talk to you as if you were a guy.

And if you desperately want your male character to have a gay romance with Anomen the same technique should work.

I always play every rpg game as a girl. Can't explain. It feels more heroic to play as a girl. Always the smae name aswell: Shirah. Love the name. I finished skyrim with 2 girlcharacters and just started a fresh new warrior. Started as a male but got bored and started again as a girl. Much nicer.

I usually play through w/ each gender to hear different dialog and character interactions.

More so then lately I have playing roleplaying games with the mindset that I am the character in the game, so for Fallout 3, Fallout: New Vegas etc I have my character looking like me... in the past I have created a few female characters in the BG series though.

In order to have fun from gaming - once a girl, once a guy (mostly).
