The beta is ONLY FOR IWD, BG1, and BG2 though. At the beginning of the patch cycle, users were warned to disable SoD as the new patch doesn't take it into consideration and will cause major bugs. SoD's patch cycle hasn't started yet.

I think we're probably getting rid of install option 1in the next release. I'd probably just install with one of the other options at this point

Edit: wait, is this option 2? My phone can't read text files apparently

I suspect I'll run into more problems further in the game, so I want to make sure what causes it before I commit myself to the playthrough.

hey bro @subtledoctor , i met an error when i install fnp with BWS (EET) ,version was 0.74.30

Try without DR component # 11.

Do not install any DR component that adds or changes spells. Don't choose the least-invasive looking option; choose no option at all. Just hit 'N' when installing that one.

I don't know why or how, but the DR spells component corrupts something for mods that are installed later. Or, well, for this mod being installed later.
    thx! i'll try

I think we're probably getting rid of install option 1in the next release. I'd probably just install with one of the other options at this point

option 1-> you mean this: all the new kits and the sphere system ???
    then yes

It might have been better to have called it option 2 even if it were the first option. It would have avoided confusion later on, like now. Hindsight is a wonderful thing. :D

Oh, I don't like that. I'll see if I can do anything on my end.

    We have been doing that:

That's what has been confusing people.

Anyway one of the options (at least one) will likely be disappearing with the upcoming 0.75 release, so the confusion should be no more.
    heh, sorry

I am wondering if running a character made before installing this mod will cause any problems. An Inquisitor for instance?

I presume that this will also affect the Sirene Mod. There are options that give the chance for her to have any of the original paladin kits: Cavalier, Inquisitor etc.

It might be worthwhile communicating with the writer of that mod.

I've been looking over FnP and the spreadsheet. Compared to just Spell Revisions and IWDification, FnP seems like it acts as a set of constraints on spell choice for clerics and druids compared to those mods alone. Is that correct? As in, if I were to choose a cleric/thief w/o FnP I'd have more spells than with it?

I just wanna make sure I understand before I go through the mod installation process.

(The tradeoff being it allows a druid/thief :P)

That's about right. Though, with this mod you can get access to spells that are not typically available to clerics (or druids, etc.), depending upon which deity (etc.) you choose, including wizard spells or uniquely created spells. The goal is to make each kit feel unique, while hopefully ensuring that all are still useful.

Would this, then, mean that a cleric/thief w/o a kit but w/ FnP installed would get all the spells? Or is that a "kit" from FnP itself?

They will still select a kit, from a deity that is 'thief friendly' like Mask or Shar.

Ah, so there's no non-kit version of that combination? Interesting.

When trying to install F&P 0.74.25 on IWDEE 2.5.16.3 I am getting parsing error when attempting to install the sphere system (tried every installation method possible). The error does not happen when trying to install on vanilla game, so I suspect my mod setup is the culprit....

    The error log:

    ERROR: parsing [faiths_and_powers/lib/sphere_list_iwd_sr.tpa]: Parsing.Parse_error
    Stopping installation because of error.

So I basically have few IR components and Subtle´s Spell revisions version, so I am guessing F&P does not really like SR installed on IWD. Any clue what might help ? Will the installation get messed up a lot if I reverse the install order ?

I installed IR + SR + FnP on IWDEE once upon a time. They should work fone together.

What's more, mod conflicts should not cause parsing errors. So that's quite weird.

It is a mod conflict - in a matter of speech. There are at least 2 errors located in the tpa file for icewind dale with spell revisions (i am not sure if you are visionary or insane for maintaining that :p ). I guess those errors surfaced in later versions and since no one is actually using that file, they were not reported. I have probably managed to fix the first one by inserting comments ("//") before the line 307 starting with WIZARD_BLIND_OLD. However now i am getting this:
[faiths_and_powers/lib/sphere_list_iwd_sr.tpa] LEXER ERROR at line 348 column 1-0
    Near Text:
    unterminated comment

    [faiths_and_powers/lib/sphere_list_iwd_sr.tpa] ERROR at line 348 column 1-0
    Near Text:

    ERROR: parsing [faiths_and_powers/lib/sphere_list_iwd_sr.tpa]: Parsing.Parse_error

and I have been sadly unable to identify this one so far.

How much incompability will I cause if I use sphere_list_sr.tpa (which does install itself with warnings) instead of sphere_list_iwd_sr.tpa?
