101/100 rolled him up a week before SoD was released, decided to make him my first SoD Main Character. I am a Beamdog client so I had to wait until the release date for the Version 2 update. Been running the Cavalier through BGEE first with Minsc, Dynaheir, Jaheira, Khalid and Safana. Finishing up Durlag's tower now, then we're going to see about some island of werewolves
Young Kriegr "The Hammer of Justice" bringing the pain to evil all across the sword coast!
There was a limit of 100 for rolls of human fighters in BG 1 EE but now (after patch 2.0) the rolls are a higher and the limit is removed (just my personal impression). I don't no the formula. However, I observed the following relations:
Average rolls in Baldurs Gate EE (Patch 2.0) > Average R. in Baldurs Gate EE ~ Average R. in Old Baldurs Gate.
If that is the case, it probably merits a bug report in Remine. My impression was that I was already seeing higher rolls in EE than vanilla, but that could be explained away with the displayed total making it much easier to re-roll rapidly, and more re-rolls will generally lead to higher stats, even without changing the random number engine.
102 on some sort of Elven specialist wizard if I remember right. A few hours ago just rolled a 98 for my Dwarven fighter/cleric who I will take through the entire series.
I don't know how many hundreds of hours I've spent rolling over the years, but it's a lot. I often used to roll until I got a minimum of 93 in order to be able to get all stats except charisma up to 18 (and charisma would later be cheesed up to 25 in BG2). Despite my sad history of re-rolling addiction though I've never rolled a 100 ...
The highest I ever got was 93 and that was within about 5 minutes of rolling for a new character (sorcerer - dragon disciple). Having 93 as a starting stat was amazing.
Alas no; the highest I have come after a year of playing is 97. Close, yes, but not 100. Not at all. Patience though, for one day it shall be CHARNAME's day to rule all!
Hate rolling forever, much more fun to play the game What I do with pretty much all my playthroughs is Ctrl-8 then lower the stats to a total of 86. Why 86? no idea Just seems "fair" and realistic.

Also I find rolling stats to be a stress reliever. It's like a mini game in itself.
Odds of rolling 108 using 4d6 drop 1: 1 in 55,987,359,735
Odds of winning the jackpot in the Powerball lottery: 1 in 292,201,338
Odds of rolling 100 or better using 4d6 drop 1: 1 in 114,578
Edit: bad math
