    @ThacoBell In the version I have (1.0.4.0), yes, it worked for both wizard/priest and innates.
    Settings -> Spells... -> [ ] Refresh Memorized spells on save.

    Okay, you got me curious and I went and found it. Yes, there is a box that I can un-check. But it doesn't help. It still screwed up bard casting on saving. So there is something about the way EEKeeper works that is incompatible.

    Also, did you guys know that thornspray turns into wall of moonlight when cast?

    When who casts it? I'm playing a Meistersinger with Thorn Spray right now, and I'm pretty it worked correctly when I cast it. I'll double-check though...

    EDIT - also, future builds if MnG won't have bard spell slots affected by 'Keeper or leaving/rejoining. I need to do some testing and see how stabke the build is before releasing it, but I can try to hasten it a bit. (Can also PM you a copy if you're interested.)

    @subtledoctor For my test, I used a Meistersinger. I don't fiddle with spells beyond whatever TnB, FnP, or MnG does. Wait, I also cast it on the save that was edited by EEKeeper. That could be it.

    Eh, there might be a bug, it's worth double-checking. I'll add it to my list.

    Should I be using Build 4b10? Is that the most stable?

    Edit: I was on 3.8.17 last I checked which worked really well, mind you I wasn't using bards much.

    If you're not interested in bards, probably best to use the last 3.8.x version. The other big difference is in the feat system, in v3.8 you learn feats via dialogue, in v4 you learn them with a UI. And v4 has a few new feats, like Missile Snaring/Slippery Mind/Unflagging Determination.

    4b11 will revamp the Revised Monk Fists, as well as adding a new kit - a Halfling Whistler right out of the Complete Bard's Handbook. Then I think 4b12 will revamp the Revised Kensai component. Hopefully then things will be really nice and stable and I'll make it an official v4 release.

    Semi random question: Why does Meistersinger not have access to two handed style? They get staves, spears, and halberds.

    They can? I think that's an artifact of Scales of Balance, if you're using that mod. I can make a change there to give them 2HS.



    Meantime, I've uploaded version 4 beta 11.

    This makes a bunch of changes, some of which are fairly substantial:
    - Added the Halfling Whistler, a single-class thief kit with access to bard songs and a few druid spells
    - Changed the Halfling Slinger from a ranger kit to a fighter/thief multiclass kit
    - Changed the Herald from a fighter/mage kit to a fighter/thief kit, which can use gadgets... much more James Bond-y this way :smiley:
    - Rebuilt the Toggleable Enchanted Monk Fists component from the ground up, should work a lot better now.
    - Bard spell slots should be okay upon kickout/rejoin etc. (I think.)
    - Fixed bard song scrolls' usability
    - Bard song no longer works if the bard is Silenced or Deafened
    - Loresinger of Milil is re-enabled, it is now a cleric/mage kit... the cleric side works normally, the mage side functions as a bard
    - Fixed a few missing icons (Swashbuckling, Quickstride, etc.)
    - Critical misses while using missile weapons will no longer cause you to fall over if you are swashbuckling

    Ahahahaha.

    It's happening a LOT in my current game - just think, it's going to be 5% of all bow attacks - and it's ridiculous. I'm standing there, aiming my bow at someone across the map, and suddenly I flop over and fall to the ground. :lol:

    @subtledoctor I’m having a weird issue when I make a half orc fighter Whenever I earn a feat I cannot pick a feat. I click on the icon to get a feat and nothing happens. Human fighters still get their feats as normal same with my half orc swashbuckler. It’s odd.

    Either the mod is racist, or the mod has a bug. :lol:

    @subtledoctor thanks for the quick reply, until then my half orcs fighters are just gonna be a berserker or barbarian until then. also I was using the faith and powers mod along side this one. I noticed the jungle ranger was not getting its poison weapon ability. is that because I have the feat stuff installed and have to select it as a feat?

    weidu error while trying to install the 1st install component : feats
    ERROR: cannot convert state_row or %state_row% to an integer
    ERROR: [spcl722.spl] -> [override] Patching Failed (COPY) (Not_found)
    that's with weidu 24600, bg2ee 2.3, and I even tried with no mods installed, it still fails with this error... (4.0rc11), and it's on linux...

    And another bug if you install "tome and blood" before installing this one : it tries to reference tomeandblood/lib/d5_base.spl which doesn't exist in tome and blood (version 0.7). It occurs while trying to install the revised bards component only if tome and blood was installed before it.
    Not sure installing tome and blood was a good idea here...
    A possible fix for this one is to downgrade to might and guile 3.8.17, the feats still can't be installed, but it doesn't reference tome and blood anymore...

    @zelurker any particular reason you are playing an old game patch? I have not tested, and cannot test (and frankly, will not test) on the 2.3 patch.

    Referencing that spell with the TnB path is clearly a typo, should be easy to fix. However, one immediate way to get around this on your end is to install TnB v0.8 instead of 0.7.

    Didn't find TnB 0.8 ! I found the github page, latest release 0.72 : https://github.com/aquadrizzt/TomeAndBlood/releases

    For running the old version it's simply because it breaks all the mods installed, and there was no real reason to upgrade this time, plus you need to reprocess the extension, extract the zip and so on. Messy and it wasn't worth it. Ok, I had guessed it was probably because of this, well I'll think about upgrading then !

    I'm not saying the problem is with you being on 2.3; the mod might work fine on that patch. I'm just saying I don't know, and can't know for sure.

    I forked TnB to fix some bugs and add a few new experimental features. Until Aquadrizzt has time to decide what to integrate into the main branch, you can find my fork here.

    Ok, I upgraded at least to find what was going on, and it's even messier than what I remembered because in linux they mix upper case names and lower case ones but the filesystem is case sensitive and weidu expects everything in lower case, so I needed to play with symlinks to fix all this mess... anyway at the end of it, I can confirm, upgrading to 2.5 allows this mod to work !

    Weapon specialisation for skalds : I didn't think it was limited to 2 points, well it's a general rule for multi-classes but I had forgotten this. It seems to be enforced in this mod since I had installed "multi-class grandmastery" from the tweaks anthology, but it was installed before might and guile and so was ignored here, I am still limited to 2 points...
    Maybe it's worth telling about this limitation in the kit description then...

    Tweaks Anthology should be installed after this - it can't raise the proficiency limits for kits that don't exist in the game at the time of its installation.

    Also, hopefully Tweaks changes the proficiency limits for all multiclass warrior kits, not just classes. But it might not - I haven't looked at the code so I'm not sure. But if it doesn't, there's nothing I can do about it on my end.

    I tested with tweaks loaded after, which took me quite some time because I hadn't kept a savegame, and it still doesn't work. Oh well, doesn't matter, it was just to try the new bards anyway.
    While I am at it, I just tested Garrik in a new playthrough, and he has a few oddities : when he joins, he is a fighter/mage, so it seems correct as a new bard class, except he is a level 2 fighter with something like 700xp / 4000 for the fighter part ! Well it's convenient, this way he is more useful than usually, but it seems strange... (actually you get the new level icon when he joins so that he gains his level 2 with 700 xp, or even less !). I thought maybe "tob-style npcs" from tweaks was interfering with this so I uninstalled the component, but he still does this when joining...
    And there's a strange effect with his bless song : when it starts, it's a normal bless effect as usual, but later, when doing stuff and changing areas (like go and fight the spiders in the house nearby), it turns into a "protect from fear" + bless effect, both icons appear on the portraits, and if I tell him to stop his song, they both disappear. Well this makes his song a super bless song then, but I am not sure it's intended... Using "faiths and powers" in this playthrough, but it shouldn't interfere with bards anyway...

    On 2nd thought there might be some unstability maybe because of faiths and powers because that's the only mod I added in this playthrough and it's the 1st time I see things like that, like a dwarf protector level 1 who suddenly got 4 different fighting postures, an archer who got a sleeping shot without doing anything, and so on. I didn't take garrick in the previous game too, so it's either garrick and his bless song, or the "faiths and powers" mod...
    which means I'll probably have to give up on this playthrough too ! Sigh... !

    I randomly had one character get a fighting posture as well, but I cannot possibly fathom how it happened. I mean, something has to give you that ability.

    Unless... it's possible that my various mods add so many files that some filenames are being doubled... Man. I'll have to look into that... :open_mouth:

    You can get this kind of output easily in linux (or osx if using a decent version of find), just cd to the faiths_and_power directory and then :

    I temporary moved the might_and_guile/backup directory out of the way to get this... good luck !

    It wouldn't be found that way. Each mod adds several hundred files with bespoke filenames... and each mod also adds some hundreds or even thousands of files with filenames that are programmatically generated upon installation. (Install all my mods, and look in your override folder... there is a frankly shocking number of files with a "d5" prefix there.)

    So it's possible some auto-generated filenames from MnG are overwriting some bespoke files from FnP... and then FnP mechanisms mistakenly apply the MnG .SPL files. This is just a hypothesis, but it could explain why, for instance, a paladin suddenly learned a fighting posture in my game.

    This is the nature of the beast. I can't add a F/M kit and tell it to have the same proficiency limits as other F/Ms... each one has to be specified, so when I add the kit I have to specify the normal proficiency limit, i.e. 2. When a mod like Tweaks Anthology comes along and professes to make broad rule changes like that, it is incumbent upon that mod to make those changes in a thorough and uniform way. Tweaks hasn't updated that particular rule change since before multiclass kits were a thing, so it's a bit out of date. (It wouldn't be that hard to update it - if and when I have a spare moment I can whip up some code and submit it to the Tweaks Github page.)

    Thanks for the detaillled explanation, well if you tune the script to keep only files beginning with d5 you still get a huge number of files with the exact same name in "faiths and powers" and this mod... now I don't know if it's normal or not of course...
    And for tweaks : lol, it's nice to be proficient with weidu, well I am still too lazy to really look into it, and I don't know, maybe a bard with 5 picks in a weapon would be too powerful maybe, it's your choice after all. As it is here, I find he does many things not so well (not to say "badly" !), it's an average fighter with a less than average mage but since he is multiclass he gains levels slower and his songs are not so useful (the skald doesn't get the bless song which would have been useful at low level. I used the aura which lowers the thac0 of enemies instead, but it's only useful at low level, and then the song to increase damage because it's very useful for archers and those using projectile weapons in the group). He is more useful than a basic bard, but still quite weak in the end then, so I didn't really change the way I see bards, at least the fighter/mage version !
