Why on earth is my human level 1 mage immune to both acid and fire damage..??

    Do you have 1 max HP? You end up being immune to most damage if you have 1 max HP.

    No mods installed either.
    The same problem happened to an elven mage I just made.

    Why is Zelte going "ugh" if he's not taking any damage? Silly Zelte.

    Now it's also on my Android phone. This game is ruined!!
    I created a female elven fighter. Fighting that green wizard in the Candlekeep inn revealed no issue, but fighting Neeras red wizard in Beregost did! It even seemed like I got healed from one of the acid arrows.
    I didn't install that recent update, due to space limitations on my phone.

    Now, where's my Tamagotchi..

    A story mode is an option in gameplay options, difficulty settings.

    Specifically, it's the "easiest" or left-most position on the difficulty slider.

    But unless I'm mistaken, BG:EE doesn't have Story Mode yet.

    It's just a fancy name for "God Mode".

    The name is designed to make people feel less guilty about cheating.

    I'm on 'Core' settings.

    Every time I make a new character it has this bug! I'm done with this game.

    Out of curiosity, what spells are hitting your character?

    Can you upload a saved game in a .zip file?

    I was playing in story mode! So sorry for the confusion!
    I never knew story mode did this. I use it only on level up and perhaps I forgot to put the slider back up after level up.

    That's good to know! Glad to hear it was an issue you were able to resolve on your own.

    For future reference, "Normal" difficulty also has the same effect on level-up (maximum HP). That's the slider position second from the left.
